i'm using it. i like the platform very much. i've tried ffastfill and jtrader before. i think xtrader is the best platform among the 3 that i've tried. the static ladder is important in fast markets.

strong words. may i ask how much money do you trade, or better yet, how much money have you made this year? last week was quite extreme. whereas normally i wouldn't care about this, last week was different.

that's not quite what i was referring to. yes, cme raised ES margins to $5,063 per contract. RCG even doubled that to $10,126 for the ES. anyone have a similar experience?

anyone from MF Global or Advantage who could share their side?

just curious, which firms increased margin rates during last weeks volatility? mine did - RCG doubled margin rates... anyone else out there? thanks, mgarc

best month ever in $ terms. easily could have made a lot more had i held on to positions longer. up 35% for the month.

that is my understanding based on my own past research. trading income is not earned income as it is not a salary, thus the LLC route.

you have to set-up an LLC to trade through. then you can have the LLC pay you a salary which would fall under "foreign earned income".

i took a HUGE hit in my account in the middle of january. i've spent the past several weeks trying to recover from that debacle. as of today, i'm glad to be finally positive again for the year.
