    Questions about NYSE

I have not seen any substantiation in any of your posts which shows that most traders profitably trading NYSE stocks would be more profitable if the specialist system were abolished.

    Questions about NYSE

Perhaps then if you feel this way about being asked to back up certain statements or unsubstantiated claims then you ought not to be posting on a message board. By the way, opinions are usually preceded with "I think"

    Questions about NYSE

Where is the proof of this claim? Why do you keep ignoring this? If you wish to maintain any shred of integrity you ought to show proof or retract.

    Questions about NYSE

Because it is an update of the same old case, which you have been posting about and re-hashing all over ET as you have been serially bashing the NYSE.

    Questions about NYSE

Faulty logic from my friend Rockford again. Everyone reading knows that in any population, be it CEOs, police, doctors, lawyers, priests, schoolteachers, rabbis and even specialists that there will be some who will do wrong. This is the nature of humans and so it shall be until the end of...

    Questions about NYSE

Here Rockford is claiming that most successful strategies trading NYSE which do not rely on the NYSE system would be even more profitable if the specialist system were abolished. Of course he offers no proof of this claim, and when challenged on it he attacks the challenger as he has just...

    Questions about NYSE

For anyone who cares, the quote above is direct from Rockford's post, which he has just claimed that he did not say. These posts are clear evidence of a blind bias from a serial NYSE basher/blamer. Furthermore it is clear now that when his unsubstantiated claims are debunked or shown to...

    Questions about NYSE

The same process of missing a fill to another trader who executed before you (stock ahead) happens all the time on both the NYSE and the Nasdaq market. The difference between the two is that one market is fully electronic, while the other is not, therefore the quotes are updated much faster on...

    Questions about NYSE

Here Rockford claims that most strategies profitably trading NYSE stocks (which do not depend on the specialist system) would be even more profitable without the specialist system. Claims like these with not a single shred of evidence to back them up show the blinded bias of the serial NYSE...

    Questions about NYSE

Rockford's post is full of disinformation, but right now I will simply point out that the particular statement quoted above where he implies that "special skills" are required to profitably trade NYSE stocks and that the NYSE system should exist to allow more people with different...

    Questions about NYSE

These are nothing more than serial NYSE bashers and conspiracy theorists who take sport in looking up disdainfully and shaking clenched fists at the grapes which are out of their reach, while proclaiming in a loud shrill that they are sour.

    Two dual video cards

I do not think there is any difference in display quality between two cards using dvi no matter the cost (for 2-d applications). If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

What brand of whiskey was that? Did it help with your trading or fills?

    ABCD Trading Methology

The question was not why this system cannot be publicized (it is anyway, by the way). The question was why it cannot be quantified, as many on this thread have claimed.

Anthony Robbins - Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)

I think it depends on the person. I believe that people are more suited to certain trading styles than they are to others. Lots of daytraders make lousy position traders and vica-versa. I do not know that the success rate of longer term traders is significantly any better (if at all) than...

Anthony Robbins - Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)

Does a trader necessarily want to eliminate all fear? Could it not be detrimental to be "fearless" (by having a negative impact on good risk management, willingness to quickly take losses, etc.) when trading? I've wondered about the NLP application to trading, since the mindset that NLP seeks...

Anthony Robbins - Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)

The number of trades is relative to the time frame and style of the trader. The 100 trades in 3-5 months that you describe sounds like a not very active swing trader, while 20 clicks a day is a moderate daytrader. For anyone though, repetition is a good way to learn.
