Do you track your daily equity? If so, what's the peak to trough? With the account being down since you started you would also be asked what the drawdown from your peak performance would be. Many funds focus heavily on this and it would be good information to post.

As this is a paper trading account, how do they handle a margin call? Would you get closed out or do you have the option of putting more 'money' in?

One of the more successful traders I've heard of trades nothing but WMT. Although my understanding is he combines trading the options along with trading the stock so I guess you could say he's trading one company.

I actually asked Mr. Market for help, but was very dissapointed. With his ability to bench press 385 pounds I thought he would be useful in helping me move some furniture this weekend. However, he was so greased up he kept dropping large items on his toes and broke a lamp.

I know a 'friend' that lost 10k on one error last week leaving their system unattended.

That system either gives one or no signal a day on each of those products, hence the longer time stop.

I use a time stop in the 1 - 2 hour range for a system that trades the TY, ER2, JY and EC. This is in addition to a price stop and target. I added time stops about a year ago and it improved my performance significantly as I'm certain it keeps me more disciplined.

Unfortunately TS doesn't offer Dax futures data. My understanding is the recent change where you can incorporate outside data into TS charts is their short term solution to this.

I have accounts at both IB and TS (Tradestation) and pay for real time quotes on Tradestation. Sorry but I don't know of a free place to get real time quotes.

I've noticed a very brief bid / ask difference between the TY and ZN during the tradig day, but this never seems to last more than a few seconds. I'm using TS to monitor these two so it could easily just be a data feed issue.
