I don’t think is has much to do with fundamentals, except the fundamental of panic. The supply situation hasn't changed.

The Economist - Most Liveable Cities 2011

If it was based on that criteria then Cities in Norway/Finland/Denmark/Sweden & Germany should be top of the list.

The Economist - Most Liveable Cities 2011

Harare is a much better to live than most Cities in Africa including those in South Africa (too much crime), better than most in Middle East India, China, Korea and most of Eastern Europe. I have first hand travel experience and not some numbers spewed out a computer program designed by a geek...

    Gambler vs Trader

They need a million becuase they are poor traders. Most of them lose 30%-40% and a million gives them a huge margin for error. Or rather buys them time either lose more money or return 2%.

    Buy May Wheat

I got smacked there - out. Though my opinion about the direction hasn't changed neither technically I don't see much damage - I will wait to re-enter when and if the selling exuberance wanes. I wonder how much of this selling is due to geo-political events?

    Buy June Gold

I get worried sick about my position when market starts going up in a straight line day after day. It maybe a rewind of what happened in Silver & Gold on 19 March 2008 although before that massive break there were signs it was coming. I don't see those signs but history may not repeat itself so...

    Buy May Wheat

If you need further probable evidence see attached Corn / Wheat price and movement correlation. Green is CBOT Soft Red Wheat and red is CBOT Corn.

    Buy May Wheat

Looking at KCBT Hard Red Winter Wheat contract that's more in demand becuase of higher protein content than CBOT Soft Winter. I'm expecting the lows made on 16th Feb to hold in KCBT Hard Red Wheat contract and that should be supportive for CBOT soft wheat. If Corn rockets to the moon in the next...

    Pictures of your trading stations

I like that idea and its been playing on my mind for some time. I currently have 4 screens but I'm going to expand to 8 screens. It doesn't mean it equals doubling up my trading or I will be tading twice as fast but it makes my job damn easier with 8 screens running. I'm able to effectively...

    Buy May Wheat

I generally ignore news and do not use fundamentals but since you ask - I don't know if the comments below are true or false and how they will or not impact on price. Wheat prices saw their largest weekly decline since mid-November of last year this week. The futures exchanges posted sharp...

If you were going to short Silver, would you do it now (if not already broke) ?

Short accounts getting emptied by the dozen every minute and as usual they are predicting and arguing this is the top instead of making easy peasy money on the long side. They will celebrate and say they were right when market has a small one or two day correction.

If you were going to short Silver, would you do it now (if not already broke) ?

Will fundamentals and price eventually line up - yeh maybe or maybe not but I'm NOT putting my account to the test based on that theory.

If you were going to short Silver, would you do it now (if not already broke) ?

Yeh there will always be some report that will say blah blah blah the price is too mighty high blah blah don't buy its a train wreck. Using theory in that report I could equally argue that for an efficient mining operation the production cost of gold is $450/ounce. So one is suppose not to be...

    USDA Reports

Its very very difficult though to take a position when market opens soon after the reports. Sometimes market goes opposite of probable direction consistent with report or if in direction it opens limit up/down etc. I find them more useful a day or two after release by gauging market reaction...

If you were going to short Silver, would you do it now (if not already broke) ?

Thats why trading is difficult because its so so difficult to do the simple thing. Just like some masters of the universe who have been shorting stock indices because they think they are smarter.
