Alright, RE jumped over 9 points today. In this market, there are very few stocks that can sustain that kind of leap in the green. Anyone looking to short this tomorrow? Any thoughts on this? Regards.

Yea, it helps. It is frustrating at times because although I'm not doing this for a living, I do have a set goal on how much I'd like to make every day and due to the time constraint, it's hard to reach that goal consistently. Regards.

I have a full-time day job so I only trade the first 40 min. of market open. Still doing alright considering the amount of time I have to trade :)

OK...will not be going long on SIRI. Doesn't look as good as I thought.

From today's news, Mercedes-Benz is going to be offering Sirius in the 2004 model lineup, and that's the main reason I even bothered looking at SIRI. If this deal with Benz goes well, then Chrysler could offer Sirius in their other divisions as well, which would make this a worthwhile...

Alright, here's a follow up. I ended up not trading today, which was probably a good thing considering how quickly everything reversed this morning. I usually trade using my PC for charting and a laptop for order entry. But today, since I could only dial-up through my PC, I was forced to use it...

Yea...that was kinda f*cked up. I almost went long around 9:45 a but the longer term charts were not looking too good so I stayed out (plus I was on 56-k dial up which didn't help the situation). Oh well, glad I didn't go long :)

From the posts so far, it seems like it's definitely do-able. I guess I'll just have to keep my data downloads to a minimum, i.e. only have my charts and ordering screen open. I'll see how it goes in the morning. As long as the charts are being updated properly, I don't see an issue. If I do...

Have any of you ever traded off of a 56-K dial-up connection? I use DSL, but it's down and won't be back up til next week. I'm considering trading using my 56-k modem. :eek:
