    Multiple monitor problem. Please help!

I'm currently running two 191Ts on a ATI 9100 AGP card. I'd like to hook up a 3rd monitor so I bought the ATI All-in-Wonder PCI card which is Analog and has TV out. Spoke with one my techy friends and he suspects that the two video cards will not work together on the system. Thought I'd check...

    Good addition to EMA?

Technically, I don't think you really need anything but a price chart to spot a good breakout. I use Bolinger Bands to help me identify break-out candidates. Check out AVID this morning.

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

Thanks. I've improved my skill and become decent at identifying and trading trends/patterns. The only problem I'm having lately is being a bit gun shy when it comes time to pull the trigger. I find myself looking too far into the future and over-analyzing the entries. I just have to make the...

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

Don, what criteria do you use when selecting the 2-3 stocks to trade everyday? Any advice along those line would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

inandlong, I actually used to day-trade the same set of stocks, primarily the semi-conductors (KLAC,QLGC,MXIM,XLNX,SMH) but I stopped doing that in April because I was missing out on some very nice moves. Now, I trade different stocks everyday. Strategy still needs some fine-tuning since it's a...

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

Thought I'd add one more comment. Even though I have not traded any of the stock picks I compile in the evening, looking at hundreds of charts has helped me better identify candle-stick patterns.

Is creating a watchlist for tomorrow worth it???

For now, I only day-trade equities and each night I go through a couple of hundred stock charts and compile a list of stocks to watch tomorrow, but since trading is done in real-time based on market conditions at that point in time, I rarely trade any of the stock picks from the night before...

What is needed to start a small trading room?

High-speed Cable with DSL for back-up would be good enough. Even with a T-1 connection, I think you should get DSL/Cable for backup purposes.

    QuoteTracker with IB

Any IB customers use QuoteTracker for order entry? I don't like the TWS interface, and would rather use QuoteTracker but am afraid executions might be slower with QT. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Dumb Question: Daytrading rule

From what I know, the PDT rule is interpreted differently by different brokers. For example, Freetrade lets you trade your cash account as many times as you want, i.e. if you have $5K in the account, you can open new positions upto $5K in value throughout the day as long as you close the...
