My China Thesis Entitled... The Biggest Lie Ever Told

Is that true? I don't know, it might be just a selection bias of some sort. The guys that put on these "la fin du monde" trades are rarely right, but they only need a few times to make it big. If the thesis was there, the resulting trade would be of that sort. I am not convinced but can see...

Is This The End Of Tesla ?

For sure. EVs are still a novelty, very much like the ICE cars in the early stages of adoption. You can literally imagine people saying "yeah, that's nice but it's much easier to give hay to my horse than to get gasoline for this thing". PS. We are getting there. For example, both car and bike...

My China Thesis Entitled... The Biggest Lie Ever Told

I am sure there is a lot of fraud in the Chinese economy. Any any emerging market, it's economic are driven by bribes and kickbacks instead of supply and demand. The problem is that someone like China has really deep pockets and is likely to prevail over speculators. It does not matter if you...

Trump at it again...Jaw boning crude oil.

Trump in skinny jeans is the visual that I did not need at all :vomit:

Is This The End Of Tesla ?

Sure. But then also make sure we don't subsidize the oil industry directly or indirectly. I am all for fossil fuels, but let the free market do it's work. In fact, let them also pay for the cost to the society (i.e. air pollution, oil spills and global warming) and then we are all set...

Is This The End Of Tesla ?

It's a good car theft deterrent too. I recall reading that only 18% of Americans know how to drive with a manual transmission (*). Apparently, the percentage of manual transmissions in new cars is under 5%. * probably that's a bit offer side, as any flattering self-reported statistic like net...

Is This The End Of Tesla ?

Ha. Yeah, the first thing that came up on youtube when I searched for Model 3 was this: As a side note, the natural performance of electric vehicles is insane. I did a test-drive of Lightning (the previous model) a while ago while I still had my motorcycle license. No shifting and torque - I...

    Tail wagging the dog?

I recall a few studies from JPM which were pretty extensive, let me dig 'em up. Well, a "spike" is a large aggressive order(s) that sweeps the book, so fade-back is usually due to off-touch orders by non-HF players and spike market-makers. If it persists, there is a transmission chain along...

Is This The End Of Tesla ?

What do you think of it as a car? I am thinking of getting it or something else electric once my elderly Honda dies.

    Tail wagging the dog?

Seems? There are numerous studies that spooz lead the market, they are the most liquid and liquidity begets liquidity. Of course, you can't exploit it unless you have great tech.

Meet The Quant Hedge Fund Manager Who’s Killing It This Year

All fund returns are reported net of fees. So these average returns include both the AUM fee (2% or whatever he's charging) and the performance fee (15-20%). However, PS. The fees are still pretty egregious in most cases, considering how unreliable the product is.

What's it like to live in Puerto Rico and trade futures and futures options contracts for a living?

Yes, I am sure because I have looked into it, though it's not perfectly straight forward and requires some effort. Google "Puerto Rico Act 22 and Act 20"

What's it like to live in Puerto Rico and trade futures and futures options contracts for a living?

Because an American does not have to pay federal taxes while working and living in Puerto Rico.

Have you read the reflexivity book too? That's pretty good (very dense reading, though).

Is fundamental analysis less important than technical analysis in forex?

I am sure there are some unique people for whom that's true and you might be one of them. In majority of cases, knowledgeable people are the ones that perform better. Ultimately, the ones that have some form of insider knowledge are the ones that perform the best.

Any Hedge Fund Analysts in NYC / Jersey area...?

No, sadly it's nothing out of the ordinary and I have spoken about this before more than once. We seem to usually avoid the filth outside of the politics section with this time being an unpleasant exception.
