Taowave I know some programming but not a lot. I just learned AFL by looking at examples on Amibroker web site. I mainly like the versatility and speed of Amybroker so it was worth my while to study AFL, glad I spent the time to do so.

I agree with jstox, I have used Amibroker for four years and its better than anything else that I tried. Its a snap to write up a trading idea and test it out. Works great for autotrading at IB. And the price is low plus free data from IB.

HOO The group to check out is called Amibroker-ts I have been doing autotrading using the IB simulator, so far so good. Works for me, but just starting out.

I have used both Wealth Lab and AmiBroker. They are both very good programs, can't go wrong with either one. I prefer AmiBroker because of it's speed and ability to auto trade. Try Ami first as the price is lower and they have a great group on Yahoo

I started paper trading for months and became profitable. Then small amounts of cash 2K - 3K and did OK. Then went up to 20K - 30K per trade and made money. 75% win rate. Start small and work up, follow your rules, use some of they better methods given here on ET. I daytrade & swing trade...

3D recorder from tongsoft.com is great. No problems. Can also record MP3, its the best. Has voice activation that works very well

IBSOFT Features are nice but reliability is my #1 requirement

AmiBroker provides a very nice programming environment at low cost yo the user. Also Include Trading Examples.

Gandolph: Vol% Select View then select Edit Views... Scroll down the "Available Colums" to Vol% Click on Vol% Click on the arrow pointing right near the center of the drop down Click OK That should do it. Vol% has been helpful to me, enjoy.
