    Spitzer's hooker revealed

More likely a record, rather than a book deal. You go, girl. Great body, good facial bone structure, but not the face... overall, a few notches below a 10 in my book. Look at her other pics, not just that particularly flattering swimsuit one, with sunglasses covering half her face...

Thanks. Yeah, I have used Sharpe Ratio, even though it's got several serious drawbacks. Why?

OP: first, you are officially a SPAMMER - read the board rules. Nice way to get started. Second, you should know that pip numbers alone are worthless, let alone over 5 months. What, February was not worthy of advertising or are you still "fine-tuning" the February results? What happened...

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

cabletrader, so you are now trading live on Oanda's real, non-demo platform... hell must be freezing over. What, CMC spreads are getting under your skin after all these years?

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

OK, that's what I was afraid you were doing. Actually, that chart doesn't prove anything one way or another, because that's NOT an Oanda-accepted method of resolving fill questions conclusively. They'd probably get a good laugh if you ever tried to make a case based on "aligning your mouse"...

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

I don't know how you can call a graphical, eyeballs-dependent method (Add Study - High Bid) both "accurate to a fraction of a pip" and "conclusive." Please explain exactly where you get 1.54006 from - chart type, time frame, what time, what chart elements.

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

The Add Study - High Bid visual method, while useful to know, doesn't help in a case like this, because the difference between his sell limit and high bid was as small as 0.00003. Especially when you need to go back many hours and therefore no longer able to zoom in / drop down to sub-minute...

Broker for exotics like Ruble, Won, Real, etc...

Seems that way, based on a preponderance of evidence. However, the OP didn't mention anything about such minor esoteric details as "fair dealing practices."

    Forex charts with volume

I'd be curious to find out the exact nature of Hotspot's volume data. Could come in handy to gauge price action on a day like today, when sentiment is key. Trader KGB, since you are a client of both Hotspot FXr and FXi, maybe you could go straight to the source... give them a call and ask?

    Forex futures

You're welcome. Yeah, I am often "completely wrong." Such as entering 1.5350/51 on the calculator, but typing 1.5340/41 on the computer. Silly me. Good thing I didn't find "a big mistake on this basic info" on the CME website and decide to share it with everyone, or else I'd really have...

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

High ask = 1.54026 @3:25-3:30am ET, so high bid ≤ 1.54017. Your sell limit was 1.5402, so no fill... no foul. If you want to fade the round figures, try the other side - under for a short, over for a long. Good thread title... not.

    Oanda - Wtf ?????!!!!!!!

No, Oanda's Min/Max chart is what you want whenever you need to definitively resolve a fill question. Candle chart doesn't cut it - it merely shows the average b/a price, regardless of spread. As an aside, you can click on "Show Bid Price" and/or "Show Ask Price" buttons on any type chart...

    Forex futures

Try this trade, on paper and/or on a calculator: buy to open 1 Euro FX @1.5340 (position value = 125,000 x 1.5340 = $191,875.00); sell to close 1 Euro FX @1.5341 (position value = ... = $191,887.50). What's the gross P/L, ignoring commissions? And there's your futures tick value. Hope...

Yes, something here is incredible. Don't know what the poor Merc would do without sharp-eyed guys like you watching over them constantly.

    Check out the Spitzer girls!

Those aren't the girls. The "Emperors Club VIP" website was shut down a couple of weeks ago, when that story first broke out, although you can still find many of its pages in Google cache. Such as the infamous "$1,000-$5,000/hour" girls' names and cities, but, sadly, not their full-body pics.

    Anyone use kettlebells?

Ever try the trap bar (aka shrug bar) deadlifts? I discovered the trap bar nearly a decade ago, thanks to Stuart McRobert. He considers the trap bar deadlift the single best compound exercise for many trainees. Far superior to the barbell squat (inside a power rack) in every way, in my...

    Finding a new job, advice?

If you "just graduated last May," you have at most 9 months experience, not quite 1 year, right? A jump that soon after starting your first job after college is generally a bad idea, unless you are totally miserable or in a really bad fit situation. Doesn't sound like you are... Expecting...

    Forex Account vs Futures Account

Yes, MBT forex is out there, commission-wise. Regarding a 1-pip spread: for Euro, sure, but not everyone trades the Euro (I realize that the OP used it as his example). In fact, one of the key deciding factors between spot and forex is the choice of currency pairs traded.

    Forex Account vs Futures Account

As mentioned above, you really need to compare the total trading costs, including both commissions (preferably RT, not per side) and actual spreads for your trading style and size. Comparing "just commissions" is fine among currency futures brokers. However, it's less meaningful among...

    Forex Account vs Futures Account

~$5 (commission) + $12.50 (1 tick spread on 6E) = $17.50 with futures, not $5. Compare that to what a given forex dealer charges in spread + commission, if any, on 125,000 EUR/USD. Need to compare apples to apples, the total cost of a trade. Of course, most traders (non-scalpers) would be...
