    AllenZ's Journal

I enjoy reading Allen's journal (though I trade stock only). I think that Samba's illustration and Allen's follow up post are very helpful in seeing a bigger picture of his method's financial worthiness.

IB commissions lower than prop firms!! WHY???

GOOD point! You also forgot if you don't get that 25%, then you would have to pay taxes for the other 75% from that 75%! It was mentioned in an earlier post by Dr.

IB commissions lower than prop firms!! WHY???

Smokey, When I trying to get started, this is also the firm I was going to, so I know a little bit more than just .01/share. I noticed they are really smart and shrewd running a business from a few little things: - You have no choice but to take the class before even you start. (My guess is...

    Entrance and Exits

aphie, I'm still new, so discount my opinion heavily. My answer to your first question is yes. To me, if it is a good enough entry for the opposite position, it is definitely MUST exit if I'm still in the previous position. A good exit is not necessarily good enough to enter the opposite...

axehawk, So far, I have no intention to tell people in public what firm I'm trading with. Maybe someday I will. I stated that it is the BENEFIT of trading with another firm (I really meant the firm I'm with now, not just any another one) outweighs the exchange fee, not the NAME of this firm...

Trader88. First, I have no issues with their business model. Actually, when I first learned from him and Bob's sales seminar, I immediately recognized this is great for both sides since it is so obvious. So I knew I was going to class even though I don't like the fact that it is not my choice...

When you think this is Don Bashing, have you ever take a step back and think for a second, why there is no (insert another name) bashing? As I stated in another post that I've met Don, talked to him, watched him trading and went to his school. From those experience and reading his posts here...

When I read it I thought that the other article about secret of successful tradign authored by R.S. was from you. true? My opinions about SE are: 1. unlike some others, he did not have a commercial interest doing that. 2. His stuff obviously is from observing the market.

    Don's openings Part 4

Tony, My understanding is that Beta is price change of your stock relative to price change to market (mostly S&P). If S&P go up by x%, your stock normally would go up by Beta * x%, so this is the fair value of your stock.
