Doesnt your broker have some 'order filling brokers' in the SPX pit? Cant you just call your broker, ask for a quote...he'll then call the floor, get the real time quote/market, then he gives that information back too you....then you make a trading decision (or give him an order to work)? I...

Try to find a junior trader/trader assistant/floor clerk position at one of the Chicago firms that does Market Making (or for some locals who need clerks/assistants). Those will pay a salary + bonus'....You'll then learn how to trade, get paid, and hopefully advance into a trading position were...

I think they are playing some of the Q&A broadcasts today, after the close - 3:15CT....They played one this morning, I thought I remember him saying they would also play some at the close. I think they also give out free username/passwords to listen to the Q&A and sample the squawk.

I've been hearing that their really trying to launch those Index Contracts (to hedge/trade the basis).....they got barely any OI though - last time I check the NCI (corn) contract had an OI of only 11.
