Piggie, They are not "getting around the deposit rule", they ARE taking a deposit!!! Who cares if it's held at an attorneys office....its still a deposit!! Your losses still come out of this money! I think Brendan has been caught in a lie when he posted "A. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT...

    Epiphany Method

Brenden, Thank you for the response. I do have some follow up questions. 1. So do you or don't you take deposits? On your website it says "Initiate your security deposit and start trading our capital within a few days as well will provide you with a considerable amount of our money in...

    Epiphany Method

Please explain further: A. "WE NO LONGER ACCEPT DEPOSITS": so a trader can start trading with NO money out of their pockets for anything? B. "We trade one account only, the firm's account which is significantly capitalized": In the SEC complaint from Tuco and Warrior, both traded in...

Warning to anyone trading through an LLC

I can't believe this isn't getting more responses. Isn't this the same LLC structure that Cy Group uses? What other firms trade in this type of structure that traders need to worry about?

    Firms that offer profit split

Numerous firms will take $10k to start, some even $5k. If you have a successful track record shouldn't you have that? I don't think many firms are just going to start letting you trade with out money up. ITrade

    remote traders

I also highly recommend JC Trading. Plus, if you don't like Sterling they offer both Lightspeed and Laser (from Genesis). I used to use Sterling but got frustrated with orders going "italicized" and hanging. They recommended Laser to me and I couldn't be happier. I have never seen orders...

The most important things are: RAM (4 GB minimum), Video Card (non-integrated in the motherboard and 512k minimum) and of course a DSL/Cable at minimum. Tiger Direct has great prices on big monitors. ITrade

    exchange access fee

Also, as a trader, you need to keep up on the fees and constantly make sure they are correct. I have had a few times that the ECN changed a charge and my firm didn't pick it up right away.

Best Prop Firms For A Beginner

Great post. I agree 100%, you don't NEED an Ivy League education....but that will give you a better chance getting in the front door. Plus, we all know that "how smart" you are has nothing to do with whether or not you will be a successful trader!!

Best Prop Firms For A Beginner

I don't think there are a lot of firms out there that you can walk off the street with NO experience and expect them to teach you to trade with their money. Unless of course you have an Ivy League degree. People keep talking about RBC but if this was the case they would be bombarded with...

JC Trading/ Ocean View Capital LLC

Ocean View is an SEC registered broker-dealer. That means they are audited and regulated by their Designated Examining Authority, which is the CBSX. Tuco was an unregulated LLC audited and regulated by no one. Ocean View took over the the space and bought the equipment from the receiver...
