Yeah, TOS has had a DOM since early to mid-fall now. Also, just added artificial intelligence predictors if you're in to that sort of thing.

You generally always have an in-house group even if you have outsourced applications. The TOS developers are probably making more of the smaller enhancements/changes or quicker turnarounds to the applications plus managing the 3rd party development group. You have to verify the deliverables from...

Agreed. Of course they're going to tell their existing customers that everything is going to be the same. It would be mass exodus otherwise. I will wait until the deal is closed but I highly doubt AMTD leaves TOS completely alone. AMTD will own them, they can do whatever they want, WHENEVER they...

Problem is it won't be Tom P, Tom S, or Scott S calling the shots when the deal is closed. AMTD will do whatever they want when it comes to fee structures, data and exchange fees and the software and customer service. Maybe they'll grandfather commish, but I bet we see data/exchange fees passed...

I don't think AMTD will mess up TOS software, but I do expect them to significantly raise fees and rates which in that case I will probably go elsewhere. TOS is better than IB in : Service, and platform features. It's not even close comparing those to IB. IB is better in the number of...

I can't imagine the TOS base is really that significant. I'm sure it was mostly about the software, they don't have anything like it and they need it to compete with Etrade, etc.

Yuck. I would probably try Lightspeed, speedtrader, protrade, or mastertrader before I went back to IB.

If that's the case and they don't consider grandfathering existing clients then I'll have no problem going elsewhere. If I wanted to pay inflated rates I would go to ETrade before I went to ATD anyway.

It doesn't make sense that an active trading platform would have as high fees as the standard investing platform. I can see them passing exchange fees and charging a platform fee for it but it doesn't make sense to charge more for those that would presumeably trade more.

Correct me if I'm wrong but TD doesn't currently have an 'active' trader platform right? It would make sense if there were to implement the TOS software as such. However even if that were the case if they don't grandfather me in on rates then I will likely pull my accounts. Having said that...

Think Or Swim and Options on Futures?

No update this weekend. It appears it will be pushed back again. Not suprising since it is supposed to be a major update to also include non-third party auto-trading.

    For my Christians Friends

So, in reason, you deny that it takes faith to believe in a secular or natural world view. All world views require faith. I'm amazed that this continually needs to be said. The idea of reason alone is circular and therefore the statement is worthless. Einstein said, "Science without religion is...

Does anyone listen to Shadowtrader on Thinkorswim?

I liked Peter better than Brad. Brad sounds like a good guy but the times I heard Peter he stayed on top of the action. I think they could also offer a ShadowTrader daytrading broadcast as well.

    futures brokerages amp or velocity?

I have amp, they're good. Low margins and comissions. I'm not a big size trader with this account so amp is better for me than velocity.

    OEC users question

it was live, and I took a loss on the order subsequently. Looking at the logs the order was apparently rejected because it broke order limits??? Yet I didn't know it until the price hit the order point and only then did I get a notice and then both sell OCO orders disappeared from the DOM. Nice.

    OEC users question

I had a buy OCO order set and apparently after it was hit the sell sides of the OCO were cancelled by the system although they remained in the DOM until they price attempted to hit the target sell order. Then I got the rejection notices and they disappeared. Has anyone seen this before? I'm...
