Dreaming With Tea: How About Bigger Index Contracts

Or get rid of the pit contract at $250/point and the ES $50/point and have one electronic only contract for all at $100/point. Put the liquidity all in one place.

    Clearer trends: ES or NQ?

ES is getting choppy due to wider than called for tick increment & spread. You can see this in all the tails showing up in the 5-minute chart. Time for ES to trade in a .10 increment like the pit contract instead of the current .25 increment.

    SHORT the ES now

I predict that a down tick will occur at 12:11.11 (atomic clock). This is based on an advanced fourier gann lunar proprietary methodology.

I used the end of day package from the Worden Brothers 10 years ago. They put me on their mailing list and would send me junk mail nearly every week. I guess they thought they would mail me into submission. No way would I give these guys any email or addresses (unless hotmail etc.)...

    Repeal Of 60/40 Tax Treatment!!!

The problem is the Chicago exchanges have mostly been associated with Democrats. They heavily supported Carol Mosley Brown over Sen. Fitzgerald - so he doesn't give a hoot.

    Repeal Of 60/40 Tax Treatment!!!

A phone call to your Senator and/or Representative would be more effective at this short notice. Just call up and say you are against repealing Section 1256 of the tax code which would raise taxes for traders. Keep it simple - do it now.

    spread on the Dow e-mini

The above is from the CBOT web site (I posted this in another thread). The S&P Emini easily has the liquidity to trade in .10 tick size, just like the pit based contract instead of the current .25 tick size. If the Dow emini trades in .10 tick size - then that is certainly an advantage for...

Mock Trading on the CME Floor!!!!!

I've done this before at the CBOE. What I noticed most, was how limited the universe is of traders in the pit that you trade with. At best you can see and communicate with 1/3 to 1/2 of the other traders. The rest are looking some other way. Compare this with electronic trading where...

    Review of Decimals by SEC

Its funny how the NYSE which presents itself as the bastion of unfettered capitalism squeals for the protection of government regulation over the free market concept of letting decimalization determine the proper spread size for stocks. While this raw capitalism may be uncomfortable for NYSE...
