    Do you really need indicators?

I think it was deleted by the monitors due to using foul language. Someone used the word butt or nipple or something.... :D

    Street Smarts by LBR

If you think about it, Johnny Rotten's Emini breakout pattern is basically an Anti setup. I wish Linda would come out with a new book on her own. I would pay $150-200 for that.

    Street Smarts by LBR

In the 1990's it was cutting edge and worth the $150. nowadays, most of the stuff is out of date, except maybe the grails. Should be selling in the discount section for $15-20.

How Much Size do you swing on the ES

Has anyone ever summed up all the "size" traded from T&S for the Emini, for a day - and then found the average size traded or the median size traded? I'm not technical enough to do it. If you were really slick you could do a bell curve on what size traded at what frequency.

    IB - bid / ask E-mini S&P

Its been my pet topic and I'm just horsing around. I'm not challenging you, no hard feelings hopefully. I am challenging the CME to get its act together on this issue though!

    IB - bid / ask E-mini S&P

    So if I understand you correctly you are saying that in dollar equivalent terms comparing one Big S&P ($250) and five E Mini S&P (5 X 50= $250), the tick increment and minimum automatic slippage is: "Big S&P" - (1 X 25) = $25 "E Mini S&P" - (5 X 12.50) =...

    IB - bid / ask E-mini S&P

I notice that the tick increment on the emini S&P is .25 while the tick increment on the pit s&p contract is .10. How can this be? The emini is at least twice as liquid as the pit contract! Is there a contract that I can switch to in order to have a .10 tick increment in the emini? Why...

Will ORCL be around for another 24 months?

I don't think buying or merging application software companies ever works unless you are a consolidator like CA, who buys the company, gets rid of all the fixed overhead and milks the support, consulting and add-on/upgrade money. Merging application companies doesn't work. If you want the...

Esignal ain't what it's cracked up to be

Do you guys have 2-day charts or 780-minute bar capability? With Qcharts you can put in any increment of minutes, but they seem to cut it off at one day or 390 minute.

Will ORCL be around for another 24 months?

Funny thing is, the Oracle deal to buy Peoplesoft makes more sense to me than Peoplesoft buying JD Edwards. I can see Oracle doing a Computer Associates - stripping down PSFT and milking it until it as a cash cow. They eliminate a competitor on high end deals. I doubt that the regulators or...

how to manage false breakouts on NQ ES

Down with the establishment! Down with grey flannel suits and Ford Taurus'. Don't worry. You would practically have to kill the President or something to get kicked out of here.

    Clearer trends: ES or NQ?

One reason for the perceived increase in noise in the ES contract could be arbs fading every small entry that scalpers make on 1-minute charts. They get the arb between the emini and the pit and they get a little more as the small moves get beaten back. Without a wide spread this kind of...
