The treacherous path to $200k a year

not bad for a days work. I found CoolWhip's simulator. Trading is so easy now. Let's take a look at the log: [07:43] jackbyrd: ok folks, my system says the high in the ES futures will be 1265.50. Therefore, we will short at will below this price. Sell 1000 ES contracts at 1265.25. The...

The treacherous path to $200k a year

I must commend Steve Tvardek for his persistence in this matter. Without his continued insistence that our teen trader, CoolWhip, provide even a modicum of evidence that he was legitimate, we would still be plagued by this diseased little fellow. At this time, I suggest we all pay tribute...

    Intra-day charts from WAY back.

Sir, if you indeed have cash to burn, perhaps Tick Data might be of some use. More than likely you could obtain 20 years worth of tick data in .csv format. Good night.

    Swing Trade Play 11/11/05

MacroEvent, it appears out teen trader, CoolWhip, the one who so rudely insulted your strategy has been whipping it around on a simulator. Unfortunately, he cannot even figure out how to enter the correct contract symbols. Let's have a look: coolweb Registered: Jan 2005 Posts: 770...

The treacherous path to $200k a year

Sorry son, you're still going to have to fix that bug in that simulator of yours. The NQ is currently trading at 1695, not 10836.

The treacherous path to $200k a year

Clearly his refusal to admit such an obvious mistake has struck a nerve with young CoolWhip. Face it son, the only place you can get away with those sorts of errors are on a simulator.

son, you meant to say you are shorting the YM at those prices, not the NQ.

    A mutual fund question

While we are on this topic of yields. Might I point out a stock I recently spotted with a hefty dividend yield and rather low valuation. FBR, Friedman, Billings & Ramsey. Yield currently at approximately 12.50%.

Need suggestion for mutual fund backtesting software

What am I missing here? The majority of mutual funds can easily be tracked with their settlement NAV's each and every day. Why couldnt' an individual simply load a database of symbols into TradeStation and perform testing in said manner?

    Swing Trade Play 11/11/05

Another question if I may. Have you considered implementing this strategy to a spread trade. Perhaps YM/ES, NQ/ES or ER2/ES, something along these lines?

    The S&P will end 2005 @

It appears that the EliteTrader consensus has the market closing the year at approximately these levels (1268-1271). However, the bias is skewed slightly to the upside with more votes above the mean prognistication.

And what exactly did you prove in Elitetrader Chat? that you can talk smack in that broken English dialect of yours? OR that you can tell other traders what trades will work and wont work according to this superhuman intuition of yours? The joke is up son. Your need to take the cash...
