    the top is in

I've only been into trading for a year and I've been hearing this sentiment uttered all year long. What the hell's it normally like? Because I can read every book ever written on this, but all I've known first hand so far is a wildly volatile mostly uptrending market.

    Bid/Ask Volume

Okay I'll look into Up/Down volume too. Any thoughts on how these two compare to using OBV? I'm just trying to figure out a way to make volume more meaningful, especially when you're looking at a trending chart but the volume amounts candle by candle aren't changing much.

    Bid/Ask Volume

Anybody use bid vs ask volume in their trading? I found a thinkscript for it on TOS recently, just starting to experiment with it as a trend reversal indicator. I'm including a chart from today, strong swing from buying volume to selling volume in the tall candle matched with a doji at the...

Does the time formation of candlesticks matter for a trader?

That's intriguing, could I ask you to say a bit more about how you define a non-obvious price?

    Penny Stock Resources

Thanks Guru, great advice. I'm at a point where I want to focus my time on learning technicals, since this only still a side hobby for me, I can't invest the time I'm realizing it takes to research. So at this point I'd gladly pay for some dependable daily watchlists and alerts. I might try a...

LOL, that's gonna be stuck in my head all day now.

GME: Crusty Whales vs Handicapped Teenagers

I hope I'm where you're at in a year. I just watched it and knew I didn't understand what was going on enough to dip a toe.

    Penny Stock Resources

I'm hoping to get some recommendations on reputable sites for tips and info on penny stocks and small cap stocks: websites, youtubers, bloggers? I've only dipped one toe in so far and already feeling overwhelmed. I'm still at that point where I've never heard of the company until it...

How much do you pay your CPA?

I'd happily pay $250 a year for the rest of my natural life not to have to figure that out. Before I got into stocks, I just used TurboTax Plus because I usually get royalties income each year, and I find that annoying enough.

How do I get rich from trading?

Took me 6 months to grasp the concept, highly counterintuitive as you say, let's hope I learn how to apply it better than I did today before I run out of money.

How do I get rich from trading?

I hear buying low and selling high works, but I've yet to try it.

    Moving Averages discussion

Makes sense. I'm still at that beginner stage where I'm trying to learn all the general rules of thumb, before I start to learn how/when they can fail you.

How much do you pay your CPA?

What do you guys think someone should be paying to get their taxes done who is just a part-time swing trader, making about 5 trades a week, no LLCs or anything extra like that?

    Moving Averages discussion

Gotcha. So how do you play those? So far all I've heard with gaps is to expect continuation in that direction, but that was in relation to news catalysts with penny stocks. Is that idea true across the board?

Another day trader bites the dust

And then once volatility dries up, if you wanna daytrade you have to drop down to penny stocks to get enough price movement?

Not sure I understand your intraday gap question btw?

My bad, long day, I haven't tried Bollinger bands at all yet. I'll give this a looksee after the baseball. Do you ever use MACD or OBV? Kinda intriguing.

Kinda wondering what you think about the question I just posed above too if you have a minute.

Another day trader bites the dust

I'm very new to this world, trying out swing & a little day trading now after 6 months of fairly intensive learning. I have a regular job that isn't too demanding, so I can afford to add daytrading 4 days a week pretty easily if I want. Can I ask you a question, as someone who's been doing...
