The method of the three best and worst from the prior day sounds possible, but it doesn't take into account the contrarian principle by which you operate. Wouldn't they correct the next morning?

Ya, but if we're going to buy a small basket of DOW stocks, won't we have the same leverage problem, or worse, than we have with the DIA?

Assuming I don't want to hold a position larger than 1000sh, I should buy say, 250 shares in each batch, so I can have four equal buys if the trade keeps going against me. Like, this one keeps going down. Leaving room for four buys seems about right, but I don't think the leverage is sufficient...

I just added 900 paper shares to my 100 paper share position in DIA at 93.15. I need more leverage! Average price 93.171 Almost all the stocks I own look very bad today. The only ones that are going up are the ones I don't own.

Almost never happens to you! OT: The pot is 16" wide and 14" tall, and has a lot of iridescent luster in the glaze. Potter says he developed the luster process himself. I now have a pic of him riding an elephant in Cambodia or Tailand. Not bad looking, either. He lives in Santa Barbara...

Okay, it is a paper trade, but I'm empathetic, and I empathize with my paper gains and losses. Actually I haven't gained or lost a lot. Leverage. 100 shares $9300, and you get 1 share for 9300. But if you move to 9305, you make $25, and if I move to $9305, I get $5? Is that it?

Oh, what is my exit strategy? Based on points, ie percentage profit? Based on change appearing to occur in the Indexes? Based on how many hours I've suffered?
