FullyArticulate My background is 10 years plus of trading index futures. But I have burned out on fast snappy price data action. And therefore I do find the OEX's rather peacefull to watch......much less stress. But I definite open to suggestions as the the fills are terribly slow.

Did any body else out there get stuck Friday with no trading at the CBOE. I use IB and was unable to trade from 1:00PM ET into the close. I am curious if this was really CBOE down and unable or maybe it was IB unable? Comments appreciated.

MTE, I agree.......... but what bothers me is the price data flow. For example the Emini futures is very snappy and fast but the OEX straight options are nice and slow. So, I don't get emotional as much with the OEX and this helps a lot with perspective and I am not as fatigued after a couple...

So stops work on the OEX? I have tried stops on the ES mini options and they did not trigger a fill at all. I use IB's work station.

I would love to find a book on straight simple OEX and or SPX calls and puts options trading. That's the kind of trading I am currently working with. Trading the OEX almost like I trade the Eminis. It seems to work pretty well accept for getting out fast.......that is often a problem.

I trade OEX calls and puts. Most often I sell calls and or puts intraday generally only holding for 30 minutes to an hour. I trade them just like ES futures. What I like is that they move slower and generally having less value per S&P point. For example the ES moves 2 points for a $100...

How about getting a dual passport??

My understanding is that the U.S. is the only country that taxes it's citzen's earnings while they are residing in a foreign country. :mad:
