Some thoughts on negative oil price

Maybe in a court of law one could argue that the price displayed was invalid, therefore the trades were void.

Diary of an LSE stock trader

My father was just six when WW2 started. His father served in the forces though, died quite young - from a rare type of cancer that was apparently caused by the chemical gas he was exposed to during WW2. I never met him. My father was evacuated during the war from Liverpool, which was heavily...

Diary of an LSE stock trader

    $286 left

"I'm getting close to my daytrader dream I had over a decade ago... This is after thousands and thousands of hours of heartaches, losses, account blowups, profits, swings, ups and downs of all sorts. It's been the longest journey of my life!" Great to hear that.

Diary of an LSE stock trader

Henry - I'd say mainly technical, charts in other word, although obviously the fundamentals move the commodity stocks. I like the phrase 'price has memory'. Very often it's true.

Diary of an LSE stock trader

'You seem to be able to enter and exit at the right moments'.... Ha ha... that's a good'n... On the 18th of March I went long RDSB @ 936... thinking the fall (from over 1400 a few weeks back) was overdone... The stock fell to 889.7, before rebounding and closing at 960 that day. I got out @...

Diary of an LSE stock trader

"I'm interested in the cci indicator you use? thanks" Not a lot to say about the CCI really - it shows extreme overbought and oversold levels, but of course markets can remain overbought or oversold for some time. An example is the chart of Brent crude this week (!)

    BITCOIN Crash!

Bitcoin - if you take the 18 m coins in existence, and take the average of the max price at which each million was created, you get a figure of very approximately $ 2000. Using the average price not max for each million created, give a VERY rough calculation of about half that.
