I covered half my shorts from 1106 and above with limit buys @ 1090 and 1080. I didn't get any of the longs as I was asleep :( . I may look to short again soon as the overall bias is still down.

I'll look at the XAU and see if it works.... also I'm fine tuning the system so that there is no need to double down. Just yesterday, I found a way to make the original gap direction twice as accurate as well as what the first 2 directions will be for the day.

I havent used my gap plays in any foreign markets but I think it would work as long as the market closed for a certain number of hours like the Nasdaq does. The gap play doesn't work on 24 hour traded instruments like the nq's. Most of the other plays I have will work on just about anything.

In your second post on this thread, you said that a 4-6 point stop is only risking like 2%. How did you get to that number? I trade the NQ's using 1500 as initial margin requirement...., since 2000 dollars would give a 1 point to 1% ratio. 1500 would give a 1 point to 1.25 %approximately...

Can you please explain something to me? When you say, they made 15 points.... how many stocks did they do that on, and did the plays overlap time wise. The reason I ask is because I can find a setup in the NDX, and then say buy these 15 stocks.... If it went my way, and the stocks made...

I beleive that margin does matter alot in percentage of return. It's called leverage i think. If I have 10k and broker gives me 2x margin power, i have 20k buying power. With that, I can make or lose twice as much as a person who has 1x buying power even tho we both put in the same...
