Need help on 2 issues, which I think are psychological

Guys, thanks for your advices. Nazzdack, It is not fear. I have been trading with real money for a while, and I go for pips or points, I know that I have decent account size not to worry about every tick. I used to trade forex off 3-5 min charts and this time frame is quite "relaxing"...

No quotes/transactions on DAX and 5 points gap???

I did relogin to e-signal after it crushed and this is when i saw the gap. Must have been the crush that caused it. I never got a chance to refresh the charts since my PC went down. Thanks for the info.

Need help on 2 issues, which I think are psychological

I think this is the most appropriate section for my questions. I have a solid strategy and I am disciplined enough to only take trades when my set ups occur. I trade intraday on very short basis, my trades could be few minutes long, sometimes 10-20 minutes, rarely close to 1 hour. I have 2...

No quotes/transactions on DAX and 5 points gap???

I have noticed a strange thing today on DAX. From around 3:44am EST(9:44 Frankfurt time), to 3:46am, there were no quotes/transactions. Then the price jumped 5 points. Unfortunately around this time my e-signal crushed and then 1 hour later my charting PC went down, so I can not attach any...

Rumour that what you see is not what you get?

Jm73, CME 6E tick value is $12.5, so 50 lots is $625 per tick. This is equivalent to appox. 62 standard forex lots. I personally do not know anyone who trades such large size in forex, and very curious about execution on large size forex trades. Based on what I read, it should be Ok, and I...

Rumour that what you see is not what you get?

My point exactly. It is the same movements as forex, but with all benefits of CME regulation, and it is cheaper. If there is ever going to be a central currency exchange than I am sure that a lot of people will trade there, but it means that all banks world wide will be exchanging currencies...

Rumour that what you see is not what you get?

I "love" hearing this no commission bs. In fact forex is one of the most expensive products to trade. Most of futures have 1 tick spread today and you pay rt commission, which can be negotiated if you do volume. With forex, some of the brokers charge you 5 pip spread on majors like sterling and...

    The Coming Oil Crisis

Hi JMowery1987, Please do not take it as an insult, but what exactly did you love about this scenario. Hundreds of millions of people died during the storm, the world economy collapsed and other horrors laid ahead. Redduke

    The Coming Oil Crisis

The only reason why oil still plays such an important role is because its price is absorbable. $70-$100 people will and can pay (might need to cut back on few things and obviously cry hysterically). At $200-$300 or some other obscene level, it will be put to rest with some alternative way. If...

What is the realistic profit goal from forex?

Hi Kastro, It has nothing to do with not being able to handle the risk (assuming you are prepared psychologically and have iron discipline). Paul Tudor Jones said, that getting 100% is absolutely doable if you trade small, and I am sure that his definition of small is different from most...

Life is full of hard choices

You had to be, that was the era. Their children however will be true capitalists. Have you ever heard about a pirate and murderer called Morgan? He ended his life as governor of Jamaica, and the following generations were “a bit” successful and famous.

Life is full of hard choices

Another reason for tearing Yukos was of course to join its biggest part to Rosneft (who is about to do the biggest IPO in history). But had it not been for Khodorkovsky political ambitions, he could have sold it to government like Abramivich and enjoyed his life or kept like many other...

Life is full of hard choices

That is if he ever gets out. In 2000 when Putin came to power, he had an unofficial meeting with Russia's wealthiest man called oligarchs. Putin made it clear to them, that he would not go after their illegal astronomical gains (there was no legal ways to create so much wealth in Russian in...
