agreed. however, I would look for another for of money management not related to a martingale system. All 'modified' systems that I have seen still show a higher risk of ruin than I'd prefer.

I have been trading spreads on SPY, small volume for about a year. For about 6 years now, I have actively traded my long term portfolio (6-10 trades a quarter). Starting to spend some time practicing some short term swing trading in various equities at the moment though.

Thanks for the input Canada. I have a couple unsecured debts that I am paying off by year end and some illiquid investments that need to be restructured. Hence the 12-18 month window - I want to get my ducks in a row before my "self employment" limits my ability to do things such as that.
