Good resolution for your graphic card, that's really it no matter how you put it. That's why it costs so much. Do you have something like Dendy or Sega or Nintendo or Playstaytion from past, play them on monitor and you will see what I mean.

The problem may arise, I have seen the post there where one GDDR3 died already and something like GDDR5 already have conflict with others, be prepared to change all old ones as well. Other way it's all may not work over time totally.

You need to know us which motherboard on which socket and on which chipset you are using here anyway. So we can add some good situations to that for sure. As for GPU, you can upgrade to some CPU with built in one and use some splitter for the rest.

That's way too much of a guide, I think that some really basic PC will really do the job here, with fast enough CPU and RAM all will be fine totally. Maybe install few monitors will be totally fine here. Something Ryzen based from current one will be just good.
