Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

I wouldn't even think about going long on this thing until 2650 or so - and even then don't try and call a bottom here unless you like lighting money on fire 10 times just to be right 1 time.

Fan in workstation Making loud noise

It's a fan dude. Replace the fan, not the entire computer.

Fan in workstation Making loud noise

Dust collects on fans over time and after enough time they become completely caked in a layer of dust you must physically remove. If it's not the dust itself creating the noise then the fan bushings themselves might be going bad - in which case just replace the fan with one of the same size...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

The tone has changed folks. Stop assuming it's going to do what it's always done. Grandma has left the building and the bond markets are calling the shots.

Sierrachart annoyed with data fees and intend to rock the boat

This would be pretty surprising to me as I lived in NZ for over a year + have family connections there and the unhelpful/defensive attitude is just so far off from the typical Kiwi.

    SoesWasBetter

Didn't you read the sign on the door before entering? "Have a Sack or Don't Enter" Seriously, why are you getting upset over some bullshit comment someone made just to get you riled up? The correct response is to ignore it, not to interpret it literally. It's called shit talking.

    SoesWasBetter

Dude c'mon. There's plenty of stuff like this all over the site and it's not meant to be taken literally. As other people have said, harden up.

Interest market impact - from the CME

Nevermind the fact that a 90 tick move with a 937 lot is around 350k... That being said, this kinda seems like something CME should be protecting against if they're the ones so concerned about it. Why push it out to the end user to handle if they want to be certain it doesn't happen?

Sierrachart annoyed with data fees and intend to rock the boat

SC says: "We are totally excited about the decentralized exchange project. We have little doubt, that we are going to be very successful with this, it is going to be a community effort, and all of the exchanges around the world including the CME are going to receive major competition and...

Sierrachart annoyed with data fees and intend to rock the boat

Yes, I am very experienced in this regard and their devs are assholes on the support forums when you point out any failing of their software. They are extremely defensive types (most likely Russian to be honest) who automatically assume the reporting party is somehow just a stupid user in the...

Sierrachart annoyed with data fees and intend to rock the boat

Sierrachart is straight up Dunning-Kruger to the extreme and I would never trust the software integrity of any exchange they run. Every single run in I've had with these folks when it comes to software bugs, issues, etc has been reacted to (by them) with complete defensiveness and very little...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

You guys are holding long expecting some kind of gap up or something? Why? There could just as likely be a gap down as well. I see no benefit to holding through the weekend here when you could just put your positions on in the Asian or London session on Sunday night.

    ZN ZB and NOB spread

I don't really have a "view" per se, I'm simply trying to hop on the trend that I see in front of me to be honest which could be roughly translated as "10s stronger relative to 5s or 30s". I have to presume atleast the yield based charts which I originally used aren't something I have to weight...

    ZN ZB and NOB spread

Old thread but I figured I'd bump it since it seems to be relevant again and I like keeping related information in one place... So what's the hidden risk here (aside from a sudden policy move) on going long FYT, short NOB right now as +3zf,-5zn,+1zb? There's a clear trend in play for a few...

    Ag trade ideas

FYI the ICE Softs Fast Facts newsletter is no longer provided by ICE. J Ganes now offers it as a monthly subscription for 169$/month - which I think is insane for something that used to be freely provided via ICE.

    Noob VIX Futures Options Questions

This is only the issue if one is paying attention to the VIX itself as a source of intrinsic value to their options - which they sure as hell shouldn't be. Unless one has some specific expiring contract settlement concerns they should be paying attention to the futures first and foremost.
