what the f@!# is wrong with my trading?!

I feel the same way. The markets have been really tough the last few days. I usually like to take a step back when i feel like nothing can go right and regroup. If anything, at least get your head together and be calm before you risk your capital. BB

    We're looking toppy....

What was really interesting about yesterday's end of the day "suprise" rally, is that i think it took many by surprise. Yes, spoos could not make new lows, but trin and trinq indicated that there was a decent amount of selling pressure.....especially on the nazcrap. Also, down volume was...

    We're looking toppy....

Definitely a lot of cross-currents out there.....SOX and XBD look pretty weak too. Naz and SP Cash usually follow these important sectors. Hard to believe in a rally when the leaders aren't leading.... Also, didn't retail take a crap today?? So what sectors are leading this...

    We're looking toppy....

Well, I don' t know much but what I do know is that markets never go straight up....i'm sure we will see a pullback soon, and bulls will be tested and have to step up to the plate if they want to see the markets move higher.

    We're looking toppy....

Just hard to believe that we will continue to move straight up like that without so much as a pullback......

    We're looking toppy....

You don't think it was due to window dressing?

    We're looking toppy....

What do you guys think? Are we starting to top out? Is it my imagination or have semis and brokers already started to roll back over? Is it just a matter of time before we test the lows. If it wasn't for window dressing, we would have closed at the lows, IMHO. OEX and DIA puts are...

Trading only in the mornings now

I recently discovered something that I thought was worthy of opening up a new thread. Trading only in the mornings. I am a professional trader who trades multiple accounts and I recently starting trading a new account at the beginning of July. This new account initially started off well...

How to know when youre not cut out for this?

1.) Take a break from the markets. Whenever i have a bad streak I step away and get a grip. I come back when I'm ready and usually do much better. 2.) Trade smaller lots. That always helps reduce risk. 3.) Paper trade. Call out trades, write them down, set your stops and follow...

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

So I am still keying off the SOX. It is just getting pounded! Today it sank below the Sept low then rallied right to the WCOM gap down bottom. Sure enough, that was too much reistance (360 on the SOX) to handle and down we went. Did you see First Union just dumping NVLS today...

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

Hey thanks for the trading tip! I'll keep that in mind.:) I try to keep things as simple as possible, but this is definitely simple enough for me to incorporate into my everyday strategy. Thanks again!

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

Believe me, i have taken many losers in life. Probably as many if not more then the next person. And I didn't gloat or bitch to another trader, I was just happy that I made some solid trades that went with me. And I don't think there is anything wrong with celebrating a solid trade and...

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

Well, looks like even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Loaded the boat up today with short positions (using stops and proper money management of course) and had one of my best trading days today!!! So much for trying to pick bottoms, huh? What was that about a smelly finger...

the trend is up, market has bottomed.

I have been reading this thread and others for quite a while and never posted before. I am finally posting now. I am a daytrader who averages about 15% a month. I don't try to predict what is going to happen.....every time I try I get smacked like everyone else. The market has handed my...
