Why? At the close of the highlighted bar, what says "one set of circumstances has ended and another begins"?

But what exactly are you using to define the end of left to right movement? Or, what signals the start of directional movement?

Thank you. I suspect that we have data differences because my 10:40 closed above the high of the 10:35 bar. I cannot see how a new lateral could start at 10:35. I suspect that you did not go long at 1105 and 1145 because you saw them both as a pt2. If you started a new lateral at 10:35 then...

At 10:25 I saw the beginning of lateral movement. 10:30 confirmed this and I annotated it as such. This lateral movement continued beyond10:55 where I saw incr red volume confirm a change in dominant direction and this I annotated as p3. I realise that both the LM and short trav cannot both be...

Thanks. It would appear that the short trav was the answer. I am just trying to see at what point the LM from 10:20 could be discounted. I suspected an FTT at close of 10:40 (eob) but could not see a traverse level change signal.

Do we have a lat trav since 10:20 (lat mov) or a short trav since 10:40? Or both?

This is how I saw the situation. The lat movement beginning at 10:45 gave us p2 at 10:45 and p3 at 11:05. The 11:20 bar (eob) gave us a lat fbo and also a sym fbo on IRV. This gives us p1 of the new long traverse. We have confirmation of the dominant change (to long) at 11:30 (b2b) and this bar...
