Just fired. Should I give it a try?

Around 20k euros, enough probably for one year. That's as far as I can go. After that I should consider some savings I really don't want to touch. I honestly don't think there is a way for me to get a decent living even if I use that.

Just fired. Should I give it a try?

yes, that's exactly my original intention. Buy/sell at the end of the day, and close some (mostly one) days later. I'm getting into limits as well: send the order and forget about it. I'm not really happy, but I'm very bad at exits anyway. I Just try, and see what happens. That's the good of...

Just fired. Should I give it a try?

Thank you for the answers guys. spreadn00b, I know development is in demand, and that's the reason why I'm not panicking, but I can't define the situation pleasant. Besides, I have now some important options to look at, including trading (for example, I can start working for myself), and this...

Just fired. Should I give it a try?

Today we have been told that the entire office will be closed down at the end of the year. I have been wanting to trade for a long time, but only in the past 1 1/2 year I have been seriously thinking about it. And the things I have read here and somewhere else gave me more motivation. I was...

    Daytrading in Europe

And they trade equities? Did they give a reason for that? If they are trading in Europe for them it would also mean to trade at night. Is your office open 24 hours? Hope they are trading Asian/Australian markets. Sounds a bit weird

    Daytrading in Europe

I would really like to know what the reason to do that would be. I live in Europe and I want to trade US equities. I even made an account in dollars. Why would you like to go the other way?

How about a "probation period" for new accounts

probably not. A spammer knows he has few chances when he tries something. He knows that if he spams here he probably won't be successful. Spammers usually aim to get their message to a lot of people. Posting here to spam later would just be a waste of time.

    New member needs help.......

that's because the picture is accessed through https, that is, an encrypted channel. When you get something through an encrypted channel you have to be sure that at the other side there is reallly the person you want to talk to, to prevent someone to get in the middle of the conversation. This...

    Usefulness of the industry?

ummm...not completely clear. Does the sentence "I break down the major sectors" mean that you make your own categories? If yes, does it also mean that you also build your own indices, made with stocks with a higher correlation? If not, does it mean that you pick a stock with a high...

    Usefulness of the industry?

But what I meant is: isn't this something you can use at your advantage? I mean, if you know that an entire sector is going down, that will make more likely that a stock in that sector will go down. It's some information you can use. What I don't understand is if and why I should care about...

How about a "probation period" for new accounts

Sorry if I insist, but if it's always the same it could also be a bot. I would still like to suggest a captcha: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha I didn't see it on ET, and it shouldn't be very difficult to add. Lot of sites have it already.

    How about a 'newbie' area

Well, for that level I would say you are right. And yes, newbies can post quite complex questions. I just posted a new question in the Trading area, about how useful it can be to look at an industry. This is also what I would consider a newbie question. By the way, I didn't find anything...
