Anyone know of a good emini S&P 500 System?

The pullback happens before the cross. ALso MA crosses are real-time and don't lock in till close of the bar. This means you will most likely miss the pullback and the strategy can become a losing strategy in the long run!

Exp traders ... 5 Fatal Flaws of trading

+2 This is the reason so many "educate" but not trade. They educate these "rules" and the gullible newbies hand over their money like that!

    Scams only?

Trading is one of the few "professions" where you can sell non-working education for $500+ to gullible people. That's probably the only reason. It's high margin, as much else in the finance industry. Why do you think alot of commericals are from banks, brokers, and other finance related...

    Question about Buffett's Puts

I for one am not praising him, I just think he is making the best of his billion dollar position. Selling puts with 20 year expiration, buying warrants with 10% dividend GS, etc... those deals we can only dream of, I think if you are Buffet, you can 'cheat' all you want! That's not dumb praise...

    debt with broker!

margin call an overnight position is more unlikely than one intraday. overnight margin is $6000 and circuit down is 120 points. So I doubt he was trading overnight. It's a different matter when the futures firm behaves irresponsibly and gives you $2000 margin overnight or that like.

    debt with broker!

If you have an account at a specialized futures firm, you should always expect that they don't close your margin-calls. That's why you always need to have a phone number ready. Sounds like you didn't prepare the business side related to trading, and just focused on the trading side. If I were...

    Question about Buffett's Puts

Funny thing is, he gets the premium now, 20 years earlier. 20 years of compounding on his 20% average is big money. With a 7% compound rate your capital will double every 10 years. This means his premium if he maintains his compound rate will have become up to 4 times the original premium. Plus...

How do you trade based off of "price action"

Price action does not exist, or it is the definition of how price wiggles. Real price action excludes S&R. Everything else is technical analysis.

Total US unemployment rate hits 17.5%

I very much doubt the 17% figure. Historically unemployment by women wasn't counted as unemployment, but nowadays are. So it's very much likely that total unemployment is in line with history. However, we should all be worried about the depreciation of wages for the regular folks, and the...

    Investing Catechism

The stock market is not a fully-fleged ponzi scheme, but more partially. Future earnings are retained in the stock price, but future earnings are never certain. In that sense the stock market is like a creditcard. You are bringing sales from the future into the present. A creditcard in that...

    10yr may kill Dow

Yes. Only one thing can happen. Either gold goes to the moon, or the indexes crater into oblivion. I don't get why so many gold bugs call the end of the world, and at the same time call for a stock-market crash. It's possible, but so highly unlikely.
