Trading is a zero sum game

at the end not everyone can sell with a profit. the one who buys at the top and all those who bought on lower tops on the way down are the ones who pay the party eventually. the amount of money involved stays the same i think.

    Quitting E-mini Trading

there are many jobs in the world that are not for everyone. for example carpenter, joiner, bricklayer - "normal" jobs that are not paid that well, but are not easy - and take several years of education before one can do a real good job. and they take even much more if one decides to become self...

    tampa's "short skirt" trades...

the "problem" with the short skirts is that one has to (or should) enter BEFORE the trend eventually picks up again. so there is a clear predicting-element in this concept. on the other hand there is the old saying that a trader should not predict but only react to the market. two totally...

    Live charts delayed

really? finally they got it? those who pay were fooled long enough. for every glitch they need at least 6 month to solve it - so it seems. but to be fair - lc have been working pretty well lately - good stuff for $9.95.

    Goodbye to e-mini's

this example looks really nice. how much do you pay for charts and data monthly? which broker? where do you get the times for economic reports in europe? do single earnings reports of those 50 companies have any considerable influence?

    Something very simplistic

Quah, impressive results - impressive style! just a few questions: your system works very well so far - so why not making more trades? say - if you prefer the am - why not making 10 or 15 trades between 0930 and 1130? what are those fibonacci numbers all about? why do they have any...

    The best insights

some of a traders greatest enemies are: 1. feeling the need to trade 2. trying desperately to make back a loss these two can do really bad things to your account.

Can you clearly explain when to switch E-mini contract months?

i once made an inquiry - this was cme's answer: "The roll date is usually the Thursday before the 2nd Friday. The pit committee determines this on quarter to quarter basis. There is no set rule, it just always falls on the Thursday before the second Friday."

if 90 percent of traders are losing and

think about those who held apple (long term) - and watched it gap down about 50% one day back in 2000. would have been interesting to see some of those faces. sometimes i wonder what needs more courage - day trading or holding for a longer term - never knowing what the next day/week/month...
