Best broker for day trading Commodities & Indices?

IB is so good in most of the instruments, that I do not even look at other brokers. Instead of trying to save pennies in commissions, try to spend more efforts in earning dollars via better trading, IMHO.

    Extreme panic

GS bull/bear indicator is again at the levels of 2000, 2008 and slightly lower than the levels of 1968 and 1973. All these years, markets saw sharp corrections.

Is there any university that offers graduate degree that includes stock trading?

Why you want to spend up time and money for stock trading. Take a decent and well reviewed mentor ship program for $3000 or so which run for 3 month or more. Stock trading is learned on own self via screen time and research. Even simulated trading does not come near to real time deals. In...

When to start trading real money

When to start trading live..............as soon as possible, but start with a very small account and blow it up couple of times (ofcourse depending on the system as some can blow up in 30 min and in FOREX within 2 min). $500 account using stop and target loss levels with automation would be a...

    Hedge Fund Dream Job

What was his problem? He is an industry veteran and probably had 500 solid connections. Why not start with 14 clients (no registration required) with 2/20 or 2/10 fees structure, one man and secretary/assistant show, no fancy overhead at all and hope for a good performance and build from...

Einhorn fund down nearly 28% for first 11 months of 2018

That's why they throw more money in buying yatchs and hooker parties...........than hiring more analysts, researchers, programmers etc. Some guys with big bank experiences have developed networks and they start a HF. Goal is to build AUM and get 2% yearly plus incentives, till the time fund...

How can this oil hedge fund giant lose so much when October was an easy short trade?

This was an excellent case study for TA guys. While I could have made a weak case for taking profits on Long in 75 area, but to predict short and a steady slide to 50s..........atleast me's had no clue at all. May be some advanced Elliot Wave guys would have fared better in both exit and then...

    Reasonable revenue split as trader

Buddy get your foot in the door, 15% sounds good but good only for an year plus as mentioned above you have the discretion to run strategy to outsiders with 100% ownership of those revenues. After one year 15% can be renegotiated to 20% or so. Do not get tied up in the long term contract...

How can this oil hedge fund giant lose so much when October was an easy short trade?

Even retail traders can select stocks that trade average 500K a day and then check out Level II quotes real time and decide for them own selves if a portfolio of $1 Billion having average 30-40 stocks can be run for short term trading including intraday and most definitely in swing trading...

Agree and disagree. There are 1000s of ways institutional PMs play their game. Liquidity issues might be with futures contracts but with stocks, Forex etc. big orders can be moved with mental stops and broken up market orders. In stocks via dark pools and Forex are most liquid to begin with...

How can this oil hedge fund giant lose so much when October was an easy short trade?

One argument for TA is "a picture is worth a thousand words". Agreed completely. But when running a billion dollar HF and taking a $100M or near position for even few weeks or months, then arguments in favor need to be atleast "a dozen", even when limiting oneself to TA "only".

i have a solid system. i'm looking for help - collaboration to trade it.

sorry but disagree with you a little............... trading is a game of mind body and spirit. if mind and body are crying for rest then over stressing the spirit can be taxing. would rather just do the paper entry of the trades for that day while recouping and refreshing the "whole team"...
