Short BTC Long ETH trade in options - too good to be true?

@Atikon, I find the volatility cone charts particularly useful. By the way, what do you think of ETH and BTC IV converging in the first chart? any insights?

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

Thank you. What you explained makes sense. One should know how many trades on average he will carry, based on past performance. That way over/under loading can be avoided. Reading your response to GTA and enjoying the exchange of ideas.

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

Thanks for insights. Please imagine you have position limit of 10 each 10% of total capital, what happens if you are already loaded and waiting for the exits to trigger and meanwhile new trades are emerging that you cannot take due to being already loaded? Does that type of randomness largely...

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

@ValeryN , hypothetically, would the bargain hunter algo take a position in AEP stock on July 27th? The price behaviour kind of resembles the theory you shared on the forum. Thanks in advance

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

Hey Val, thanks for clarifying things. Your explanation makes the logic pretty understandable. "I don't but some people pyramid and most of the time it will decrease your pain. Till that one time when you can't take the pain any longer and will pull a plug." also reflects the truth of how some...

    Fully Automated Stocks Trading

Hi Val, I have been reading your thread today, and I have some questions. When a buy signal is generated, if tomorrow's price cannot hit 10% lower to fill the buy order, that signal will be removed forever? or the signal stays in the list for the next days? If it is the latter, we might end up...

    Stop hunting

Are all the purchasers of for example Robinhood's order flow market makers? Or non-MM hedge funds can also purchase order flow and screen it permanently (until it is cancelled)? Thanks in advance for the explanation

Bearish put vs Short Iron Condor: 6.65 Vs 10.85, so $4.20 gainer if underlying hits 235?

Hi Dest, in what situation the 220-210 strike gap will become a problem? A slow, down market with suppressed IV maybe?

dest's discord group--tickers, structuring and pnl

If pre-earning IV is at double the normal levels, your 1 std-dev IC should be safe. Sure the underlying can move to the wings (I think we technically call them terminals), but so much IV will collapse, that regardless your structure will survive or even make money.

The Beauty of Options - Portfolio Insurance at a Discount

SweetBobby, if ES price moves up tomorrow, so that you cannot short the next cycle puts (at 50 strike points higher), for $3 or better, what will happen? Would you for example sell at 100 strike points above the long puts costing $1,018.20? Isn't it safer to put the entire diagonal at once? or...

The Beauty of Options - Portfolio Insurance at a Discount

Hi Dest, at some free time, could you please confirm if I understood things correctly here man? 1-It is better to use 2450-2500 calls instead of 2450-2500 puts. 2-On the put side, it is better to use 2*1900-1650 spreads instead of 10*1900-1850 spreads. Does this decision depend on the skew...

The Beauty of Options - Portfolio Insurance at a Discount

Could someone please mediate, so that Dest takes me off the blocked list? I have always been appreciative of what the pros are sharing here. Specially, I have been learning alot from Dest and VolSkewTrader lately. My last post was hinting at how pros think differently than intermediate level...

The Beauty of Options - Portfolio Insurance at a Discount

I think Dest, VolSkewTrader and those who trade with specific edges do not prefer an all-season all-in approach. They are more selective in choosing what to trade and when to trade it. The initial skepticism about SweetBobby's methodology was a trade that is systematically put on every month...

The Beauty of Options - Portfolio Insurance at a Discount

One beautiful thing about what you are doing is that the left tail is capped on the income trade, but can theoretically gain infinite on the put ratio in case of a severe market crash. As a separate note, the income trade might lose more than its t0 line shows, since IV will rise, but this rise...
