Todd writes shorts market updates throughout the day. The free articles are only a glimpse of his market perspective.

    Anyone read Minyanville?

I subscibed about a year or 2 ago. Only reason I stopped was that i was focusing more on the site rather than my work. Kevin Depew is also a great contributer. The only problem with the site is the information overload. I would only focus on 1-3 contributors. I think they offer 2...

    Bright trading and any thoughts

Again, there are posters arguing that Bright is "expensive" for the intraday trader without posting where they currently trade. Let's resolve this issue. For those claiming Bright is "expensive" why don't you post the B/D where you trade and the commissions you pay. If you do not want to...

    Bright trading and any thoughts

Everyone seems to beat-up on Bright because of fees, but I have personally checked out Echo (about a year ago) and Tuco (before the SEC issue) and I do not see much of a difference in pricing. This is what Echo quoted me when I visited their Boca Raton office: .006/share and $600/month...

    Triple top?

I'm trying to learn TA. Does this chart look like a triple top may form? From what I can see, GG needs to hit 43 resistance and than move below 35 for confirmation of a triple top. Is my assessment correct? http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=gg&p=D&b=5&g=0&id=0 Thanks, trader29

So when are we going to stop allowing casinos to determine the price of gas and food?

But if crude does hit $200 a barrel, what kind of prices will we see at the pump? Oil at $150 to $200 a barrel would imply between $4 and $5.75 a gallon. At which point you probably see a falloff in demand, right? We are already starting to see a drop in demand in the U.S., but they are...

BARRON'S Monday, June 9, 2008 INTERVIEW What Mr. Crude Oil Sees Ahead Arjun N. Murti, Energy Analyst, Goldman Sachs By LAWRENCE C. STRAUSS AN INTERVIEW WITH ARJUN MURTI: Gas may have to hit $5.75 a gallon before consumption cools enough to take the heat off fuel...

Can anyone explain this broker response?

"Took 6 mins to build the basket, pass to trader, and get this in the market." The broker probably had another call waiting while he was on the phone with your friend. After the broker heard the order he probably picked up the other line instead of immediately entering the trade. While this...

    s&p reweight

Landis82, thank you for your response. The link you posted is is for the S&P 100 Global Index not the 500. My understanding is that there is a specific list for just the S&P 500.
