    Spread Trading multi-positioning trading strategie!

Just to stir the tanks on this thread... Here is the seasonal spread chart for LHG4/LHZ3: <img src="http://www.team1internet.com/jeff/0339-2d.gif"> Looks like a textbook setup. What would you look for as an entry trigger? The spread already has momentum. Waiting for a pullback to enter...

    Finally a Winning Intraday System

There are lots of brokers who resell signals from individual trading systems of their own design, and created by others. For some brokers like Striker, this is their main business. Your problem is that the broker usually charges a hefty commish for this service, as they should since they are...

    Finally a Winning Intraday System

wdbaker, All you need to trade this system is enough margin for 1 ES or NQ contract, plus enough to cover you if you start with a drawdown. $8000 or so would be plenty. If you are confident enough in the system to risk $8000 of MY money, why dont you just get a personal loan or put the cash...

How to determine the strength of a trend

Breakout, While I agree that tick and time based bars both have their uses, I have to call foul on your 100T and 5m example. They are nowhere near the same timeframe. A 100T chart on ES is similar to a 1m chart, not a 5m. Wouldn't your S/R levels be just as visible on a 1m chart?

TRADESTATION: Who uses TICK and VOLUME (Share bars) charts?

I have tick data from esignal for ES U2 and NQ U2. But the data resides in my GlobalServer database. That is the database used by TS2000i. I can export that data only in the XPO format used by TS2k. I do not use TS6, and I don't know what data formats it accepts for import. Ascii, I'm sure...

    Enron Auction: September 25 & 26

I have been to a few auctions of failed .com assets. The story is always the same as with this enron auction. Prices are simply way too high, unless you're buying bulk. People get in the auction without doing proper research on the current market price for the stuff. Plus they tend to forget...

TRADESTATION: Who uses TICK and VOLUME (Share bars) charts?

It is unclear from your post exactly what you are asking for. What date ranges are you looking for ES/NQ data? Which version of TS are you running? Do you need ascii data, OMZ or XPO?

How to determine the strength of a trend

DGB, you are right about the composition of tick bars. They somewhat self adapt to the market, drawing more bars when the action is faster, and less when slower. This has the effect of smoothing out the action in fast markets. Where a 2m bar might be 10 points tall on ES, a 100 tick bar will...

    New Website

Tyler, The new site looks good. Much better layout than the old. Quick note: ES and NQ aren't listed on the margin page.

an excellent stolen series 3 system

Your broker would love you like a brother if you traded this system. Its perfect...you make just enough to stay afloat, while he makes 5x as much per trade as you. Heck...if this system works as advertised, I'll be your broker and give you $4/rt pricing. Profitseer, you need to realize that...

    Amazing Tiki

If you are going to pass out locked indicators, you can at least include some info on what it does, how to set it up and how to use it. A locked showme ela with 2 windows wavs is of very little value. Its nice of you to share though.

an excellent stolen series 3 system

profitseer, The numbers on that system look respectable except for one glaring problem. The average trade is only $32. You didn't say what instrument this system is trading, so perhaps $32 means 32 index points or something. But if $32 is in fact the average trade on 1 ES or equivalent...

    Intra-Day S&P 500 Index (System 1)

The whole point of TradeStation is the ability to backtest a system and examine the results. If you have done a test, then show those results. That will give us some information to help you evaluate the system. A few days worth of trades has zero value. You say you have tested back to...

How to determine the strength of a trend

Like almost anything on the planet, you can occasionally find Supercharts available on eBay. You can also find TS4 and TS2k. Or pony up for Omega's newest TS6.

    TradeStation NQ Data

I use TS2k, not TS6, so I can't comment on their ES or NQ continuous contract data quality. If you dont trust TS6's data, just get your own. TS6 allows you to import ascii data and test on that from what I understand. Or you can find a copy of TS2k and manage the data yourself. Either...

    The infamous "Blackbox" Theory

I dont think we disagree actually. The thread is getting confusing about what everyone means when they say "ATS" or "Black Box". When you said, "You cannot buy an ATS", you meant an all-in-one, turnkey kind of system. You are correct about that, afaik. "ATS" as just the signal...

    Any Mini Dow Traders?

Its simply a question of who came first. The SP500 futures contract was introduced in the early 80's and it was a landmark product for the CME and the financial community in general. It has traded quadrazillions of dollars over the course of its life. The DJ contract was created by CBOT...

    The infamous "Blackbox" Theory

I have to disagree here. If you have a system developed for TradeStation, you have a multitude of ways to execute the system. Open an account directly with TradeStation (not recommended) and you can autotrade with their TS6 (again not recommended). Stocks only. For both futures and...
