    Marty Schwartz

Your favorite indicator, the 10 day EMA, is still in negative territory. What's your "strong intellectual reason" for fading your favorite trend indicator?

    The thing about "day trading"

I don't watch TV or listen to music; do you want your heart surgeon watching TV while he's operating? To keep from getting stressed out, I get away from the screens so I'm not looking at any more price fluctuations. Of course this depends on your time frame... this is possible if you trade for 1...

What kind of stops do you use?

First of all, even B4 you think about stop you should think about position size. Stops can be blown through on limit or overnight moves, so you don't always get out at your ideal stop... sometimes very far off. Also, if you overleverage, it's harder to exercise stop discipline because emotions...

    How do you handle failure?

In the past, with overleveraged trading and very emotionally, but now by trading less and better money management. Losing trades don't bother me as much anymore, except when I deviate from good risk management.

    Who knows about stanley Kroll?

I talked to Stanley over the phone in 1997? or so, and he did sound like a very old man. He wanted to teach me to trade for a couple thousand dollars or so... I told him that was a lot considering me being only a student and he told me he's not teaching me some "mickey mouse system." Kroll is...

Crude over $40 (as closed price)

I think it's a multitude of reasons. Peak oil theory is one. Asian demand is another. USD as world's reserve currency and the world's leading importer combined with our currency debasement policy (and countries exporting to US needing to debase to remain competitive) is a 3rd. Put all...

    it really is a game

LOL!!:D . It's not too hard to get laid in real life, but I suppose it's easier in the virtual world. I've heard some players in 3rd world countries employed in sweat shops that play for points to sell on ebay. Go figure.

    1st_samurai's trading thoughts

That's something I'm improving on. A big loss can wipe out most of your trading profits. I think it's important to have a rule that you're always using x amount of leverage per position no matter what. The worst thing is to build and build equity, then you think you're the man, and you double...
