You will see the true valuation in your account statements. TWS will reflect true valuation after they performed the "server reset" (1 am ET).

IB's Buy Stops Don't Work on NYSE Stocks?

"Market data problems" means that simulated stops might not trigger. IB servers cannot determine when to trigger simulated stops without market data. This is why IB customers were forcefully requesting native stop limit orders for Globex. Here is the result...

    J-Trader $4.80 Round Turn

RCG use the same software. So there should be no complaints about "lost trades", if the software were indeed reliable. Good luck & good trades !

    X_Trader $3.30 Total Round Turn

Good idea. I always did the same, especially with JTrader.

    X_Trader $3.30 Total Round Turn

Why didnt´t you use JTrader in the first place ? Instead you are pretending to be an IB customer who´s trading positions like 35 ES contracts.

    X_Trader $3.30 Total Round Turn

I guess that AF and/or RCG might be in trouble if they admit any problems with JTrader. They will prefer to say something like "must have been your ISP" or "must have been your OS" (Win2K, WinXP, Win2003).

    X_Trader $3.30 Total Round Turn

BTW, you do not need to "defend" X_Trader. Nobody here on ET mentioned any issues with respect to X_Trader. :D

    X_Trader $3.30 Total Round Turn

I really wonder why you were trading 35 ES with IB in the first place. Didn´t you read those 41 pages before ? What if you now are going to use JTrader and might find 35 ES in your account next day when you thought that you were flat ?

    J-Trader $4.80 Round Turn

Each clearing firm (FCM) runs their own installation (servers, data lines) supplied by patsystems. The accounts held with different I.B.´s (introducing brokers) may or may not connect to different servers of a particular FCM. Some time ago I had pretty serious issues with JTrader when the FCM...

    J-Trader $4.80 Round Turn

I think it´s really ridiculous to see JTrader advertised on every broker´s website as "the latest and greatest platform must have". Actually JTrader is priced at $525 per month or $1.00 per roundturn. Not much difference in price compared to X_Trader ($550/month with Velocity).
