I was short WTI @ 108.30, but when I saw that Brent was making new highs and kept pushing - I knew there was no point in being short. Still managed to make a profit (which is unbelievable) but todays trading clearly showed that WTI was weak, and it was the brent that stopped it from selling...

pulled my stop! Buy WTI @ 108.08 Now have the spread overnight @ -12.62 (Long WTI @ 108.09 / Short Brent @ 120.70)

Im shorting Brent @ 120.70 with a ticght stop (new high ) @ 120.80 Cant believe what im seeing :confused:

OUt 108.10 Unbelievable Brent just made a new high!! 120.70 (up 2 bucks on the day!!)

Seems like everyone is trading brent instead! Its happening again, brent is ticking up trying to push through and WTI is not interested. 30 mins until the pit close..........

I'd say down! I guess the fact that Brent making repeated new highs and CL just kept ticking down, would suggest there are a lot of sellers out there waiting with offers. Im geared up for a sell, and will be looking for move down in Brent as well to confirm. Its difficult to stay short when...

one of the strangest days today!! and so frustrating. Brent-WTI spread range for today is 1.72 ,yet the daily range in CL is only 1.20 So both oil markets not even moving together and doing their own thing - makes it very very tough to trade. When Brent was breaking through all the highs...

Its a very strange day - it looks weak but with Brent having huge pushes to the upside, its struggling to find direction.
