    ES Journal - 2023/2024

Why so sensitive? I read what you wrote and you mentioned movement. What I posted was a 5m bar chart of NQ This is ES You're very defensive. I genuinely found it interesting that you felt NQ "ripped" while ES didn't. Don't worry about what I do, you wouldn't care if I explained it.

WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

He does; on a typical day there is at least one swing good for roughly 40% of the average recent RTH range measured from a “good” stop entry signal. Some days will begin as a continuation of the prior days price action. Your major trendline is off a swing (opposed to targeting roughly 20% for a...

WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

I agree with all of this. Everyone should hold themselves to a high standard and I imagine many trading resources probably are garbage. I just find it interesting how polarizing Brooks is, while I don't see the same regarding Edwards & McGee or others with similar concepts presented in...

WHAT IS A SECOND ENTRY ?

I'm curious. Weren't you in the KISS doesn't work camp? That trading is much more difficult than buying low/selling high near a swing or BO point? You feel Brooks is unnecessarily complicated and not worthwhile. You are not a fan of indicators (same here). What do you feel is worthwhile and...

A Beginner's Price Action Trading Journal (mostly es, Al Brooks style)

You might want to try taking a smaller idc size and start forcing yourself to get back in/enter late where context supports it (like both entries you called out). Keep an eye on where stop order traders got trapped. In time you'll find better ways to enter, but it should help with the learning...

Don't listen to Padu, he's full of it. You do you and post what you want in your journal. Brooks isn't going to sue you because you called something a HL MTR or said you bought the close because the market is always-in long. Keep working your way through the books.

    F Trucks

If you're lucky and it's a government truck (local DPW, State, etc.) take note of the truck number (or road/mile marker/etc) and call their office complaining. If it's near road work with contractors look for the supervisors pickup for a truck number. Back in the day I had a summer job working...

    ES Journal - 2023/2024

Yesterday's RTH range was 46 points and we're not outside down yet. Low was 4409. Maybe we do close outside down today, who knows. The only thing I do know is I just covered my short with a nice profit and am looking to get back in long for a test up.

I trade intraday and only focus on RTH. Price went sideways until 10am. We're now testing the beginning of the bull channel. That's how trading ranges form. Is your call that today will close outside down?
