SIM trade short from 101.82 just made 80 ticks. Always easier in SIM. First trade trying a method of trading off of 20 EMA anticipating continuation when things look ready to move. Watching the $DXY for confirmation. Trying out 20c stop loss and 80c target. Probably will work great until...

Looks like it would have been an area of resistance to me at the time just based on price action in that area. Probably wouldn't have gone short as I had a long bias today. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep studying the 20 EMA for possible trading method. Right now just trade breakouts from consolidation. Fairly new to this thread. Really enjoy everyone's posts.

Started paying attention to the 20 Period EMA on a 5-minute chart on CL, GC, and TF about a month ago. Looks like a great place to make entries with trend. Looks like the $DXY responds well to the 20 EMA as well. Anybody else use this in their CL trading?

Kicking myself for pulling my 99.60 buy stop. Dollar strength made me hesitate.
