    Capital Traders Group

Correct, the Chicago and Detroit trading floor are managed and ran by JC Trading Group. They are not CTG branches, even though CTG lists them on their website.

    Should EvoTraderV2 be banned?

Evo, I voted that you should not be banned. Here is my take: Your views are well balanced and honest. You preach trading at licensed firms for US traders or well established offshore firms. People you read my posts know I believe strongly in the same thing. You do mention a few firms...

    Any insights on Europrop trading?

Wow...you gave the community an hour and fifty minutes to respond and you get an attitude. Nice. Did you ever think some of us are actually trading?? Never heard of Europrop. Agree with previous poster about sticking with established firms like the ones he mentioned. ....and lighten up!

    Any info on Nevis Trading?

Do a search. They have been around for at least 6 years and people have only good things to say about them. While other firms have come and gone they are still here. That says a lot about their honesty and professionalism.

    Getting Initial Contribution Back

That is true. However, the CBSX REQUIRES all firms put it to firm capital whether they want to or not. The are not entitled to "hold it aside".

Prop firm (bright?) for nondaytrading buy-hold stocks?

I believe Bright now has a profit split of 80%. That would be the only downside. But if the Bright structure of allowing you to hold overnights makes you money then it would be worth giving up 20% of your profits. Bright is a good firm.

    Day trading is losers game

I disagree that the stock market is a zero sum game....where every time someone makes money someone has to lose. For example, when LNKD opened at $81 today and I bought there and sold at $82, who lost? Every trader I talked to made money going long LNKD today! Another example...A stock...

    Nevis Trading

Do a search for "nevis trading" They have been around for quite a while with nothing negative said about them....actually just the opposite....very good reviews. For non-US traders, I would have to issue trading through them. Also, I think they are in Canada and not in Nevis.

SEC/FINRA Officially Issues Warning on Unregistered Broker Dealers

OK, so maybe a handful of firms clear GS. But the few firms that do clear there add 0.00000000001% to Goldman's bottom line. I imagine that is not the case for Penson or perhaps Wedbush. Don, can you elaborate more on a post from an earlier thread where you said you might consider a CBSX...

SEC/FINRA Officially Issues Warning on Unregistered Broker Dealers

I would assume that GS reacted because they are not really involved in the smaller prop trading business that we on ET are familiar with. They could care less if Bright stays or goes. How many prop firms clear Goldman? Answer: 1. Penson and other prop trading clearing firms are not going...
