lol spanish, you cannot follow traders like AMT when you yourself don't even have enough capital to hold 1 contract overnight, obviously you cannot ride out the volatility and can only scalp for now. I was in this position at first as well, you have to develop a smaller profit target system...

Minimal damage from IKE, but what I don't get is why does the exchange gap the crude price on their own instead of opening it at the previous close? or is this done in the pre-open?

If the contract is electronic, then day time margins apply for most of the day, so you can hold 20x$500 contracts, but this is not advisable because a price movement against you and you will face a margin call. Initial is for overnight margins basicly so you would be able to hold 3 contracts...

AMT, How many contracts did you hold from the $140's total?

Wouldn't see any other explanation for today's steep fall, considering all news is bullish.
