    Trader P/L 2013

A good day. Small account, but a very good return. The key is to control the stops. Trailing and hard stops. Never forget that. Then leverage is your friend. The gains are from NQ and CL.

    CL Redux

Shorted yesterday at $96.30. Covered overnight at $95.65. Shorted one more time in the morning and picked up a small gain. Now short again at $96.55. Small position.

It is obvious. Just read :)

    Lululemon Should Be Taken Private

The big problem I see is that this is a small public company. And yoga pants are the main product. Well, its stock still holds well. Volatility is definitely lower than that of Herballife. I do not trade any of them.

    IB's IRA Margin Account

So for IRA margin account, there is no difference as the capital, $25K more or less? So the account just follow PTD rules regardless of capital?

Cyprus bail-out: savers will be raided to save euro in future crises, says EU chief

If you give your money to the bank, it is open to credit risk. Same thing with corporate bonds. They should not touch the insured funds, which they have done. The only difference is that, in US, bond holders can drag down the bankruptcy and get some in return. But the bank depositors are not...

    Lululemon Should Be Taken Private

Actually, I think most of the members of the yoga classes are mid-aged women. So I do not know why and how it is appealing this much. Yoga classroom is not the place you seek women. You may be turned off to see the semi-naked asses of some fat old women.

    Lululemon Should Be Taken Private

I watch Bloomberg TV and they mentioned Lululemon like 10 times a day for 3 days. Then interviewed the CEO and had some panel discussion. This is like Martha Stewart. The only thing Bloomberg did not do was to have some live women exhibit the transparent yoga pants, bent over

What is the Best Cost Efficient Energy Data Vendor

I have used CQG, ProphetX (sp?), e*Signal FutureSource. All of them are not cheap. I just do not know if there is any other data vendors who are more cost efficient. I need some headline news for commodity (energy in particular), real-time quotes and technical studies. I do not need the...

    ES Journal - 2013

I'd say ES recovers to close to break-even. It does not want to go down. It wants to test the record high again. Also, another earning season is approaching. The earnings won't be great, but should be much better than last year's. I do not want to fight the trend.

    CL Redux

My gut tells me CL stays down. But there may be a late push if EUR continues to recover to > 1.280 or higher. EUR already broke $1.286 critical level.

    Lululemon Should Be Taken Private

It is absurd to get a small firm this much public exposure. The media is just insane.

Tech Analysis on ETF, does it make sense?

The most liquid ETFs track market indices. Then you use the same technical analysis with the underlying markets, be it equity or commodities.

    IB's IRA Margin Account

Interactive Brokers offers the margin account for IRAs. There are certainly rules investors have to follow. Since I do not have such account and just wonder how it works. I know I can't borrow $. How about day trading? Say I have $20k in cash. If I buy stock that is worth close to that...

    Spreads in the Energy Complex

Good traders can make $$ in any market they desire and good at. You just have to figure it out. I'm not s scalper. That is hard and tiring for me. The trading costs will certainly eat into any profit you may have. You can be easily whipsawed in a choppy day. I do spreads for mid to long...

    CL Looks Tired (3/26/2013)

Today's market is a good example. CL just tracks dollar $ or EUR in this case. Fundamentals, who cares..... If EUR recovers, CL follows. Stock index goes up too :p

    CL Looks Tired (3/26/2013)

I do not know what you were talking about. $1.65 daily swing is nothing? What is your "cumulative total"? Of course if you add the swings together, they can top $5.0.

    CL Looks Tired (3/26/2013)

Traders only care about supply/demand on the EIA report days. Other days, it closely follows $ index and stock index. The ATR for CL now is $1.65. That is a large swing. So I do not know what you complained about :p
