72 trades of 1 contract indicate a $5 per trade profit, on average, after commish. Less than 1 tick or either ES or ER2.
How can you be sure you have any edge whatsoever if the profit per trade is less than the instrument you are trading even ticks at?
:D
Don't think for a minute that they care anything about your secret strategies.
They will certainly make far more money from fees and commissions than they would trading any of their customers strategies.
With futures, it doesn't matter how many times a day you trade.
Futures are treated as Section 1256 contracts.
60% of your profits are taxed as long term capital gains, 40% of your profits are taxed as short term capital gains.
See IRS form 6781.
This is one of the advantages to...
Around 2000 and 2001 I traded options through a firm called "Mr. Stock".
Does anyone have any idea if they still exist in some form or another? Were they bought out by someone?
Thanks for any information.
One of the rules of my system is to never be long when a 9/11 happens.
Of course, my rule says to always be short when a 9/11 happens.
Why would you want to be long?
You can trade more than 1000 contracts easily on ES, the liquidity is there. Heck, you can trade probably 10,000 contracts over a day without problems on fills, and make at least $1,000,000 per day.
No problem.
