In my view, 1-2 more highs today would be in order before a more serious correction. I'll be going short at 1317 if they can take it up there. If not, will look for a more conservative entry in my lower zone.

I'm seeing 1308.50-1310.50 as an important tight little zone - a 50% fib retracement along with another -38.2% fib extension and todays globex R2 create some noteworthy confluence there, but I'm thinking twice before shorting into this upmove blindly at this zone.. EDIT if we move through the...

Stopped out at 1287.00 for -1.75pts, 1 tick positive slippage there. Must be some damn good report (only one I can see for today is the trade balance report). Whatever it was, doesn't matter.. we're heading above 1300 now.

I'm trading the ESH8, will switch to ESM8 next monday. So I'm short ESH8 at 1385.25 Position just reached +4.00pts, so reducing the risk a bit here, to -2.00pts

Shorted at 1285.25, -3.5pts stop. This should be the one that takes us down to those 1250s. If 1289.00 is crossed above, I'd expect us to have a squeeze rally today that'll take the price above yesterday's highs (above 1300).

Going for one more long here with a LMT order at 1281.00 with a stop at 1277.75, or -3.25pts. Will be the last trade for today. EDIT: filled at 1281.00, will decrease risk if 1287.00 is touched, not earlier. EDIT: stopped out and done for today.

Stopped out for -4.00pts earlier and now re-entered long at 1286.50, 4pts stop. EDIT: geez.. saved by a tick there.. using this upsurge to close the position at -1.00pts. Don't like the way it's moving and besides, lunch time's around the corner, so better to stay sidelines for now.. -5.00pts...

Bidding 1285.00 MIT with a stop below friday's lows to ride one more quick bounce into that 1300 resistance (1298.00 is the precise target) which would also be re-test of todays globex highs and the pivot. Expecting rangebound day for today as long as we stay above the 1283-1287 zone. If price...

Ugly week price-action wise.. Picked -3.5pts from a mid-day long (bad decision) and +8.50pts from an afternoon short today and closing the week with these trades. Bagging -2.25pts total loss for the week. Feeling good to have erased most of the 4 losses that were taken with this week's trades...

Been mostly on the sidelines during the last trading days here - not seeing much structure that is inviting for me. ES looks ugly - hairy and choppy with no decent volume along the moves.. volatile up-n-down consolidation with long term bearish bias, but hard to get on board with my style...

Ugh.. ugly chop. Staying on the sidelines for now. The fact that we didn't make it up to the expected 1393 area, makes me bearish, but I'm not feeling comfortable shorting at these levels here. Multi-day picture still looks rather bullish and it may become a painful day for a "short-minded"...

    Clowns ES Daytrading Journal

Nice journal. A few bits of thoughts from me. In general view, it seems you're trying too much to catch every wiggle and get caught in the 3-4-5 point noise action often with the lower probability setups. That's the source of these sequential small losses. There's nothing wrong with going for...

Agreed. The method does not win this game - it's just a trigger for entering/exiting trades. Trade and risk management e.g. defense is the key to winning this game, no matter what the method is.

Reached back to the screens just in time to see my MIT order hit and filled at 1385.25, which closed the 1372.75 long with a result of +12.50pts. It's really amazing when a plan comes together like this.. the market is at times willing to hand out those gifts even when you least expect it..

Raising stop to 1370.75 (-2.00pts), 2 ticks below the current low. EDIT away from the screens for a while.. putting MIT sell order to 1385.25 for that time.

ES is about to enter to that 1371-1374 area.. Looks a bit suspicious, but a plan is a plan and I have to follow it. Placing an order to buy 1372.75 with a modest 3pt stop. EDIT: filled 1372.75, stop remains at -3.00pts. EDIT: a few notes to add.. the 1383-1387.00 area indeed proved...

Looking at some tight confluence in the 1392.75-1394.00 area. I'll widen it to 1392.50-1396.50 for more flexibility. Once they take the price up there, it'll most likely pause again and pull back about 10-15 points on the first attempt. Anyones guess what the ES will do then, but odds favor the...

After 25pts up move in less than 2,5hrs and right into a key resistance zone of 1383-1387.. this consolidation and choppiness is more than normal - it's necessary and quite a logical consequence. It could have gone all the way up to 1392.50-1396.50 area and it still has time to do so today...
