Re-entered long at 1332.00, stop -2.25pts. Great risk-reward, but lower odds going against the 60/30min and all. But 1331-1334 was the plan and I now trust that area more as we've tested it with volume. If they take it lower than 1330, the plan's void.

Bidding 1340.25 MIT, stop @ 1338.00 EDIT: filled 1340.50, -2.5pts stop EDIT: target is 1353.50-1354.50 area EDIT stopped out -2.5pts

I personally never know where price is headed and most likely nobody does. I only know at certain times, with certain visible structure, where the price is more probable to go and I know zones where price is more probable to stall or turn IF it reaches there. That's the basis of my trading...

For now it seems they stole that long setup in the AH session. ES touched 1332.00 right at the beginning of the AH session, and is now at 1344.00 as I write this. I don't trade the AH because more often than not good setups turn bad in a mysterious way. Probably because of the thin volume and...

Tightening stop a little bit here, to -2.25pts.. This P/A looks messy and ugly. EDIT: stopped out for -2.25pts

Tricky action here. One more long 1342.25, stop at 1339.00 - based on 60/30min charts - no point looking at the smaller ones, they show nothing but garbage (at least for me).

Keeping an eye on 1331-1334 area for a low-risk long signal.

Stopped out -2.25pts EDIT more likely a fakeout here.. still, being conservative with longs and watching the price action at 1340-1342 here.. 1min/5min charts way bearish right now. EDIT nah.. they're probably heading lower from here. Too much stalling at the 1340 area.

Interesting.. I'm seeing the 1350-1351 still as the pivot area. 1350 is pre-market resistance today and 1351 is the globex pivot. If they take the price above that area, then there's another good probability move up to re-test 1358-1360.

Watching what happens when the price gets down to that 1340-1342 area. If we get another local volume extreme bar on say 1-min chart there, I'd attempt for one more long with a ~3pt stop. In my view, they have to take out the stops below 1342-1343 in order to make it above 1358-1360, but we must...

Thanks for the great ideas and comments guys. I was stopped out at +6.50pts, which for me voids that plan. Part of the plan was that when we reach the 1358-1360 area, we should stay above 1350-1351 in order to reach 1377-1380 area without further consolidation. This time the plan was not to...

Pholeuon, yes. That's one way to approach to today's trading, indeed. My approach is a bit different - I'm not scalping for handles, I'm holding to ride waves. I can't capture handles and build 20+ round-trips a day - that style is not for me, I've decided that a long time ago. What I'm doing...

If they fail this re-test at 1358, then a move to test 1350-1351 area would be good probability. On the other hand, if they break 1360 today.. then watch out for another high probability squeeze. There's a whole hour left of trading. However, I'm thinking I'm gonna lock in something at this...

Thanks, Pekelo. I agree - 1358 area is and obviously was an area where probable higher supply comes in. So far, my analysis still tells me this is short-term weakness that won't take the price below 1350. I'm not used to holding till 30+ pts targets are reached, but the plan is usually smarter...

Position at +15.00 .. huge temptation to close it right here, but will hold on for now, since I know I definately wouldn't be shorting here. So, odds still favor for more upside.

Yes, I share a similar view with you. I'm raising the stop now to 1343.50, which would guarantee a breakeven trade with slippage and commissions, but I sure wouldn't want to see prices lower than 1346-1347 zone anymore. Position has reached +11.50pts and while I'd usually be gunning for an...

Position reached +9.75pts, raising stop to 1341.75, or -1.25pts. Following the 60/30-min charts on this trade due to the larger target. 60min looks promising, but not convicing enough until we close a bar above the same 1350-1351 area. That's why I prefer to give it some room now and keep my...

Position reached +5.00pts, raising stop a little bit here, to 1340.50 (-2.50pts). 1341.00 could still be touched as long as we stay below 1350-1351 area. Trying to take stop management conservatively though - because of the target distance.

Ya I see it JSS. I'm anticipating for it to turn in the direction of the multi-day trend (which is bullish) based on what I just saw - extreme volume peaks and a sharp decline right down into my 1342-1345 area. That's my signal for the most part.

    Long 1343.00 , -3.50pts stop. Target around 1380.
