If people didn't bitch then companies wouldn't try to make their products better. People "bitch" to TOS all the time about things they want to see added. Most companies call it feedback. People also vote with their pocket books, if you don't like the product/service don't buy it, the company...

So you bought the 1175 Mar put for $2.10 x 50 contracts. Using the mid for argument sake on the 1200 and 1245 today, you would sell the 50 contracts of the 1200 for 5.00 and buy 10 contracts of the 1245 for 13.20. So you have a credit from the bull put spread of $14500 and then you "hedge"...

Tradeking.com update: I signed up earlier this week to check them out (I haven't funded my account yet). Lots of cool tools to use. There is one nagging problem I have had since I signed up, the option chain page for SPX shows 0 for all deltas and IV. I also can't get a chart for the SPX...

Donna, Not sure I follow you on what you mean by the 1:5 ratio. Can you expand on that to clear it up for me? Thanks, ryan

You know, I think you might be right. I thought most of the screens looked pretty familiar. Maybe they both use the same software vendor. ryan

If I trade a 10 lot credit spread my cost at OX is: 20x1.25= $25 At Tradeking it would be: 20x.65= $13 + $4.95= $17.95 ryan

The option chains look like the one I see on OX, wonder if they use the same software for that part. The trading screen isn't too bad and the option strategy scan looks interesting. Can't beat that price. It would be great to hear from somebody who trades with them. ryan

I saw what I thought was a good credit on the Feb 1355/1365 call spread quoted at .35/.40 so I sent an order for .35 (at the bid so I should get filled right away). I was busy for a while and checked on it 20 minutes later and it wasn't filled, I couldn't figure it out. I opened up the quotes...

So, did the Saudi Princes finally pay up so you could increase the size of your trades lol. Were you able to increase the number of contracts because you have more of your own capital or are you risking more? Or are you using other peoples money? ryan

I attended the Thinkorswim Beyond the Basics class yesterday. It seemed to fit perfectly with what we discuss here on this board. When I get a little more time in the next day or so I will post more about it. We covered alot of ground so I am still digesting it and want to play with some of...

I show the same thing on my charts. We are sitting on the 50 day MA and on the lower end of the short-term upwards channel. Oil seems to be a big driver right now (again), will there be more oil drama over the weekend? Better fill up your gas guzzling SUV today! Don't get me started about...

I just peeked at the quotes, you could probably close both for .10 each (maybe get lucky and close the calls for .05 who knows). You are probably ok where you are but it would be cheap to close one or the other or both so you can get some sleep tonight. ryan

I haven't had my full caffine fill this morning so pardon my diminished mental capacity. You say the positions are scalable but then you say you can get higher returns with a small account and that risk goes up with the larger account. Why exactly is that? ryan

Is it easier to get good fills if you are trading a larger account? For example, Coach trades 100 lot credit spreads, does he get a quicker/better fill than someone trading a 10 or 20 lot? ryan ps - I must have missed it, what is a JBO?

I just ran this on the OX trade calculator just using market prices. It shows a margin requirement of $100,000. From what you are saying about prop shop hair cut, the real risk if trading with the prop shop is your debit. That obviously makes a HUGE difference for us retail traders. I guess...
