    50% retracements

On higher timeframes, the typical fibs work with excellent consistency and accuracy. However the biggest factor for determining what fibs to use is the price action that is occuring. I'll create zones using fibs on the higher timeframes, but smaller timeframes are a little more...

Don't like the PA... will wait for a higher zone to get short again. Out 889.00. BTW I got a new computer setup and am loving it! The 512MB of RAM on the laptop I had been using wasn't cutting it :p

oh yeah, I'm very aware we're in an uptrend for now. Thats why its 1 point stops with 5 point targets going counter-trend for me haha. Already a couple points in the money, so stop dropped 2 ticks... still got my eye on 885.50 as a target.

I have the same zone (995-900 actually haha) but I feel like nibbling here. Short 90.75, stop 91.75... target 885 minimum

IDK but its looking like a potentially good short setup. a tad shy of a zone I have, but thats a nice wick on that 6:50 candle...I just wanna see some weakness come in on a retest.

Sorry to stray from trading talk in this forum, but ... Good for the Republicans in senate. How could the UAW refuse to make concessions yet expect taxpayers to bail them out? How could they feel that they are entitled to significantly greater compensation then their profitable foreign...

This is what I'm leaning towards as well. The 870-880 ES zone still has yet to be tested. If we go down to test this area tomorrow morning, watch for a sharp reversal... if you miss it then jump in on a deep retrace (50-80%) with stop under the low and hold for much higher. High probability...

Very nice trade. Just the way I like em... taking no more than a couple points of heat and reaping big profits. :)

Looking for them to hold 865-880 to continue the melt up. If this zone fails I think you guys (LC and saliva) will have your wish. a break won't be easy though... Posted last night - http://elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2212262

Volume Weighted Average Price Interesting LChan... makes sense from a PA point of view. Fundamentally I guess alot of the institutional buy algos that cause trend days are based on VWAP or a derivative of it?

I like it... hold part of it down to 880 for a sick R:R The 6AM test of that area took place out of RTH making it less "official"

All the money I make is in trading the futures for the shorter moves too... I just do the long-term trade thing with small size in ETF's for fun/practice for when I have a large enough account for it to matter. Anyway, the price action changes my opinion of the smaller structure of a move...

I never got a chance to post this up on Friday. This is what I'm seeing in terms of resistance on the S&P. As you can see, we're in the meat of the first resistance zone 911-927 SPX. After that its 970. Then the final zone that I'll be done scaling out of my longs and getting short at for...

WSJ: Better to "set the money on fire" than give it to GM to reinforce future losses

I work for a private automotive aero/thermo engineering company and I still oppose the bailout. Our business is well diversified so F and GM going to zero wouldn't be a big deal. Anyway, we have a couple ex-Ford employees in my department. The stories they told me about how inefficient...

Dangerous looking IHS on the larger timeframe charts. I'm bullish until todays lows are solidly broken. On a sidenote, looking to see if I can throw away a little bit of my hard earned daytrading profits via an AH trade as seems to be the trend for me. Long ES 843, stop at 841.75, target ~847.

They issued a sell signal about 2-weeks ago that would have still been profitable if exited at this buy signal, but for some reason it disappeared sometime in the past few days. Did you happen notice this too Pekelo?
