Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

yes but I am not trading nothing in a month. If I do 1000 round trips which might only be 250 fly round trips it will cost me $500. If I use a free platform like TWS, Firetip or Inifinity AT it will cost be zero, nada, zip. Of course for someone doing 100 contracts a month the CTS/CQG trader...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

If you take CTS with a broker like Advantage it costs $25pm without charts plus 50c per side per contract up to a maximum of $500pm. If you complete 1000 round trips per month it will cost you $500pm = $6k p/annum...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

Yes I understand TT is not my only option to trade exchange spreads thats kind of the point of this thread, I pointed out 3 other platforms TWS, Firetip & Transact AT that allow them, I was asking for more, others seem to have answered my OP. ok here is the hard maths. $100k account. If I use...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

yeah i have both right now, obviously i wasnt comparing capability as TT is a rolls royce product. If you simply want to swing trade oil calendars TWS is fine and a big cost saving.

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

another option thanks. It's still a big chunk of change more than TWS via interactive brokers which is totally free albeit with it's mystic margining and quirks.

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

yes I am aware of TT pricing. The thing is for spreaders I would only need to do 1600 round trips in a month @ 30c per side and I will hit your $1000pm monthly cap. That's a big chunk of change. I get it for lower volume directional traders.

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

disorders like this are not black and white. Probably around 30% to 50% of jail population has some sort of diagnosable psychiatric disorder, are you saying we should empty out the jails and put them all in asylums or anyone with autism shouldn't be in a jail. the guy is a scapegoat for sure...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

Futures only no options. The platform would need to record the trades and offer all major exchanges including CME suite, ICE, Eurex. As I said TWS and Firetrip pro offer this completely free of charge. I am hearing about another platform Transact AT which is also totally free. I dont know why...

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

Hey there I have come across 2 platforms for trade execution that have zero charges and are therefore superb for those of us who swing trade future spreads. Does anyone know of any other platforms? and yes I totally get the advantages of paying $1000pm for xtrader or cqg but for some of my...

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

Why the obsession with 25000 a day? The highest volume futures traders reside in spreads. More specifically rate spreads and before zirp movement and volumes were much higher. Back in the day banging 1000 clips in 2s5s10s on Eurex or cme was easily possible, depending on the ratios that was 8000...

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

You are way off the mark. Round trips will be sub 25c all in for this amount of volume on ES. A prop firm that knows you (at least the ones in London I know of) will give you 1000 lot limit if you put up $1m as first loss, probably even 2000. They will have a risk guy who will bang you out if...

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

hmm yes and no. not strictly part of his edge just more firepower. Trading leverage is freely available in futures markets, margins are very very low. To carry a position of 1000 ES futures overnight in a retail account you would need to deposit $4.2m, for day trading I think you could...

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

no I dont agree imo there are a plethora of different strategies that can work and even more that dont work. Both the above could work but they are not the only 2 ways. Yes averaging can work but only if the trader has a clear plan and is able to cut positions as per their plan. In reality most...

    25,000 Roundtrips a day?!

ok here you go this is an example of how 25000 could be possible. See the 4 example ladders below. Bear in mind its 7.30am here in London so we are outside of main volume hours. The first ladder is the front 1 month calendar WTI, compare the liquidity to ladder 2 which is the Nov 16 outright...

    ES vs. NQ

I believe ES is traded more by retail for 2 main reasons. Firstly retail brokers actively promote $400 day trade margins on ES (which is insane by the way, 8 point move and you have wiped your account lol). Secondly retail traders are very susceptible to herd mentality, so as it has been the...
