    Question about lawsuit for broker

Very good point. Yes, it does state arbitration. But this is the BIG but their officer told me on the phone I can take it to small claims court and it didn't have to go through arbitration. Their in house attorney called me and threatened to ask for their outsourced legal fees to be paid. I...

    Question about lawsuit for broker

I subpoenaed all of the phone conversations between myself and the brokers. It's just the point of the matter. I actually own a brokerage, it's funny. I'm looking at it from an owner's perspective and I'm like how are they not liable?! I'll have to look at the documentation that I signed...

    Question about lawsuit for broker

No, you are missing the point. They aren't advising me on trading, it's their own software. If you have software and you are advising on software then I would think you should be liable. The stop loss he advised to set up was not a full stop. It did not into effect overnight.

    Question about lawsuit for broker

Thanks for the feedback, I'm taking it into small claims court. Interesting point but I still find it hard to agree with you. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk. I signed up for no advice on trades or finance, I didn't sign up to learn software. I'm using their software to place a financial...

    Question about lawsuit for broker

How can that be? If the advisory team can't do it, then how am I supposed to do it. Why do they have an advisory team to help with the stop loss. That doesn't make sense

    Question about lawsuit for broker

I trade through a major self directed broker, I won't name their name. Let me get your advice on this. So I place a silver futures trade and I call into their help desk and ask how to place a stop loss using their software. Keep in mind I'm not asking advice on the trade just how to place a...

    Question about options

Got it! Thanks! I think what I need is the historical volatility to try to determine the future price of the options I will buy. Basically I'll try to forecast the IV based on what happened in the past. I think what you have here gives me the current IV which I guess I will already know.

    Question about options

What I'm trying to figure out is what the volatility will be in a future sell off. So I have the IV when I buy the put options but I'm just trying to guess where the IV will be if there is a large sell off and I'm then trying to then sell the options during the large sell off. So for example I...

    Question about options

I just have a quick question about implied volatility and options. I'm using black scholes here - https://www.hoadley.net/options/optiongraphs.aspx? For the volatility would I put historic volatility or relative volatility. Also, if I'm trading a put option wouldn't volatility be the...

    Gold and Currency relation

I believe everything is valued in the U.S. Dollar since it is the reserve currency. Pretty much everything is measured in dollars and moves inversely to it. I'm just trying to find a currency that currently moves with the dollar and it's hard to find.

    Gold and Currency relation

No they aren't, to my knowledge, I think all currencies are inversely related to the dollar. I believe the dollar is the only currency inversely related to Gold, all others move in the same direction.

    Gold and Currency relation

Does anyone know which currencies are inversely related to Gold. I know the U.S. Dollar is but does anyone know which other ones are also inversely related. Thanks,

Any ideas on a substitute for T notes

I usually put all of my money in a T note and then trade against the note. For example I trade on 200k. I'll buy 1 year T notes with the 200k and have access to about 99% of my money to trade with. Since T notes yield virtually nothing I was thinking of another place to put my money. I was...

Are we headed for a much larger market crash than 08

It's not only him, it seems like it's everyone. You don't know who to believe. I'm actually 50/50. I really think our country is doing great but just might be going through growing pains. Yeah we have huge debt at 16 trillion BUT our GDP is 16 trillion!! I have a chart of our GDP...
