    Black Scholes Equation

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to how to use Black Scholes. How hard is it? How useful is it? Any advice would help

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

Not sure I follow you...buy a share or an option. I'm writing naked option in gold (futures). So for example I sold a 1500 call in June for $250. Do you want me to buy a futures or an option. I'm not following you at all

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

Yeah but it works both ways...Personally I think the closer I am the more risk I have. I know that the options really begin to lose value under a month but that is just too risky for me. If something even mildly crazy happens I'll get slammed. I like writing the naked option way out of the...

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

Yeah the more I think of it nakeds aren't good. I'll prob keep the positions I got. It's too little gain for such risk. I'm just looking for a safe way to add small amounts of income to my account.

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

We just had a huge market sell off....bigger than 87 and comparable to 29. Writing naked options isn't going to be an ongoing thing. I mainly write them to generate income for my first trade. Right now I trade on 20k. Each year I start over and begin by writing naked way out of the money...

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

And there probably is a better chance that I'll walk outside and get hit by a car. If you write safe conservative way out of the money calls or puts AND FOLLOW AN EXIT STRATEGY. You should be O.K.

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

How so....I'm not being insulting either rather I'd like to learn. Right now I just wrote a naked 1500 call in june gold for $240...I'll exit when that becomes close to $750. I also wrote a naked 830 put for $300. I will exit this if it becomes worth $900. If the market rallies 150...

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

I'm writing very small options way outside of the money.....basically just generating small options of income. There is no way I'm crazy enough to write at the money naked options

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

You guys are missing the point I'm going so far outside of the money. There is going to have to be a huge move just for the price of the option to double. You keep missing the point when the option doubles you exit or this case when the option triples you exit because you have the call option...

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

Like I said I plan on being three to four months out. writing naked options in inverse markets....example gold and dollar. I'll write two calls in both markets one acts as a hedge against the other. Not really that risky. I guess I can't place a physically stop

Is there a way to set a stop loss when writing naked options

Yeah I'm not going to do anything crazy...three months out and $250 option. if the option price doubles I will exit. It's not risky at all. There has to be a pretty big move for the option to double....if it does I'm out $250. I'm just looking to add some income to my account

    Queston about a moron

I thought there was a rule that said if your fund was over a certain percentage that you had to register....meaning if your fund is 90% traded in futures you must register as a CPO. I know if you are under 400k you don't have to register but I didn't know if all investors are accredited...

    Queston about a moron

I know a guy that started a hedge fund and blew it out. He lost 13 million dollars in about three months.....all that was left was 200k. Amazingly enough he's got a new fund. All he trades are S&P futures contracts. Doesn't he legally have to register as as CPO if all he trades are futures...

Where are you parking your savings ?

I think that is one of the smartest things I've heard. So true. I'm in the same situation right now. I think the best thing to do is sit and wait for an opportunity rather than rush into something and get burned.
